The Bard in me can't hold the poem back any longer So I drink to you: Bon Aperitif, may your thirst flee Yet my own throat is dry and my speech very lisp. Like straining, running a marathon race underwater And when it matters most, running out of glucose How you ravage my soul like a wild hunger! I missed you yesterday; as you can guarantee Watching my heart's wings rise and flap The music of silence, a starless sky for the astrologer But your absence is much more, these don't come close They say absence makes the heart grow fonder And fonder is what you have made me, You caramel honeysuckle sweet-pop crisp! The manner of that name lusciously reminds me of manna Or dulcet sounds of Spring tenderly creating a rose You set me on edge, either way I'm the Cliffhanger Myself I seek now, can't tell now what I be Wielding Life & Death like Queen Cleopatra's asp. Dizzying sensation, pleasurable blur, so good, so far I'm addicted to you, but I think I still need an overdose
