Ugoh11:First, decide on the one you want to pursue first. If it's the school your only option is the F1. For the internship, did you inform them that you were international during your application? If so, they would discus sponsorship with you, if not, forget that option |

Chinewon88:Skype business is slightly different from the normal Skype. Download the " skype for business " from your AppStore. The lecturer would have given you a password . Just input that and you will join the room |

Check the program requirements for the background of candidates they want. If they are strict about prior health knowledge, then you can check other schools. If they welcome students with various backgrounds (they might list it) and if you see something close to your undergrad, then you are fine. But its best you send a mail to the school telling them your background and ask if you stand a chance, to clear doubts since you are changing field kinda. dannyjumbo: |

emmanuel04: The number of schools that require deposit is still very few and acceptance can be found easily online. |

titoakala: Evaluated high school record can be your high school transcript. Notarized affidavit of support is a court notarized letter from your sponsor. Transfer eligibility form should be available on the school's website. |

Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 11 by saninwa: 3:24pm On Mar 20, 2017 |
titoakala: Yes for Morgan state, Evaluated High school record is your WAEC evaluated by WES or any other academic evaluators, check the website you gonna see the agencies they recommend. They gona convert your WAEC to a GPA scale of 4.0 as used in US high schools. For Notarized Affidavit of support, you have to get your sponsor write for you an affidavit of support or sponsorship and have it notarized at a public notary, then attach a bank statement with the minimum amt in $ as shown in the website. Transfer eligibility form is for transfer students and can be got from the school, you can request more details on this from the university. If you are a transfer student, then they shouldn't request for evaluated high school record, that is for only freshmen (who has never taken any college level course). As a transfer student, you just need your transcripts to transfer your courses. 1 Like 1 Share |

titoakala: WES accepts only WAEC. You have to register with WES and select a document by document evaluation, pay the necessary fees, then get your WES reference number. Go to the WAEC office nearest to you and have your WAEC result sent directly to WES. You pay WAEC for the service. WES gets your document, sends it back for verification; pending when WAEC responds to the verification request, then the evaluation will be done. It's a very long process though, takes more than a month on most cases. |

Please someone once stated here that it's much cheaper to send one's i20 to an address in the US before sending it from the US address to Nigeria. I tried doing that today using eshipglobal and I could only find FedEx, UPS and DHL options with their rates ranging from $24-$30 for shipments to the US, which negates what my school stated that the i20 will be sent using USPS if a US address is provided(which I believe would save cost). So I would like to know if anyone has ever used eshipglobal to send his/her i20 to a US address and if it was sent using USPS or these other courier services. Thanks cc slimmy2005, imperiouxx, Walspring, femi321 etc. |

shayhune:They will send it for you free to a US address, but you would need to pay the US person to post it to Nigeria for you via USPS express. I can do that for you cos I need some naira. It should not cost more than $45 to mail you the document to Nigeria. |

Good day house. I'm new on this platform and I must confess, it's been educating. A quick one please. I applied for Msc to study Public Affairs in NMHU in New Mexico and I got the admission. My i20 was sent in January 10th 2017 and registration was scheduled to end on the 24th of same month so I deferred till fall in August 2017. The question now is, I had initially been denied a b1b2 visa and my dad is currently a citizen of the US. He resides in Philly, which is why I didn't apply to any school there. Please hope this won't affect my procuring of the visa coz I'm at cross roads and really need advice. Thanks in anticipation for the responses. |

titoakala:My guy, looks like you have money to waste in this recession. What concern u with WES evaluation, are u a grad student? . I just dey vex as u dey plan to burn $200 for wes evaluation and also extra to get waec to send ur docs. ur school should even evaluate ur waec and tell u ur GPA per US standard as that's what is obtainable in most schools in their UG application. 3 Likes |
