Paint Recommendations
A paint for every surface... Paint has been used for centuries to decorate walls, ceilings, buildings, objects, furniture and practically every solid surface imaginable. From castle to cave to canvas, objects of art and decoration, a stately home, hotel room or apartment, there is a paint for everything. Finding and using the proper paint for any surface is not difficult today. If it needs to be painted there is a paint made to do the job. And using the proper paint is very important to achieve a long-lasting and satisfying decorated surface. It is these results that are the motivation to use the appropriate paint. Painting Wood
If you don't have a vacuum, wipe off the dust or residue with a dry cloth, finishing off with a damp cloth. Wait for the wood to fully dry. Paint or primer won't adhere properly to dirty surfaces. Paint does its job best when the surface that you apply it to is clean.

Painting Exterior
Exterior paints come in a wide variety of colors and sheens, as well as different price levels. Usually you will get what you pay for, the more expensive paint should be a better quality. Avoid "contractor grade" paints unless you must have the cheapest paint - this grade will not give long-lasting satisfaction. An 100% acrylic paint has proven to be very durable, color-fast and easy to apply.

Decorative Ironwork or Iron Railings

repair spots with epoxy putty or reweld if safety is an issue, use steel brush to remove flaking rust . red oxide primer, spray cans are very handy for a few spots, be careful of the overspray drifting, brushing or rolling on the primer may apply a thicker coat. exterior grade oil-based paint is best


Interior Paints

Acrylic Flat: no sheen, less washable, can be slightly chalky. walls, ceilings .soap and water for cleaning, water or Floetrol for thinning
