As Saudi Arabia faces mounting criticism for refusing to take in any of the millions of Syrians fleeing conflict in their homeland, it was revealed this weekend that the country has over 100,000 empty, air-conditioned tents that could house up to 3 million refugees.
The tents, located roughly 2,150 miles from Syria in the city of Mina, are only used a few days a year to house pilgrims on their way to Mecca for the hajj, the news station TeleSUR reported.
The huge tents are also fireproof and equipped with kitchen and bathroom facilities.
But while Europe struggles to find space to take in the millions of asylum seekers making the perilous journey there, Saudi Arabia has been largely unresponsive to the crisis.
According to the to the U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), there are about 500,000 Syrians living in Saudi Arabia, but they are not classified as asylum seekers and it is not known when they arrived in the country.
Other reports indicate that Saudi Arabia has not taken in any new refugees, along with Kuwait, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates.

What people don't know is that Trump specifically banned Syrians but not 7 countries as potrayed by the media. To set the fact straight, it is a visa review of 90 days not Eternity. Truth be told, it was Obama who had earlier banned the 7 countries but people failed to criticize him!
People should read the executive order, it specifically mentioned Syria and not any other country.

The Saudis are bankrolling the economies of Egypt, Sudan, Morocco, half of Lebanon, half of Pakistan and a lot of rebel groups in Syria. I don't like their religion and their Wahabism but every country has a point of view. When Trump is talking about " taking the oil" , that is the mentality that should also take the refugees.

Are you kidding me?. I am telling you they are preventing hunger and unemployment in many Muslim countries you are talking about c leaving many lives to suffer". I have a problem with Islam but the people who brought the story of Arab countries not taking refugees are worse. They caused the problems in the first place and they don't believe in any God .,either xtian or Muslim so let us get that out of the way. Saudi Arabia don't need refugees. They have a population of 35 million, 15 million of those are foreigners. It is the only country with 60.40 ratio population.
Europe is taking the refugees partly because of demography. They need cheap labour and demand stimulation. Germany is the world's most efficient economy but they don't do things out of charity alone. German man no be mumu.

What are you driving at man?. Because they have already helped morroco and Co, so they shouldn't help or they don't have the financial capacity to help the refugees? What are you saying ? The Saudis know what they are doing for not allowing them in. Go and check the ratio of indegenes to foreigners in Qatar, so fxxk the ratio. I have been to jeddah before and Doha I know how an average Saudi and Qatari thinks , when they feel threatened by population of a particular nation. What trump did , Arabian countries did it unannounced to many countries banning them , and no one protested. My time in Doha, they told me they banned Indians. At a time they stopped giving Nigerians visas. If you like spend 60 years in saudi, Qatar etc , they won't give you their passports. Even their naturalised sportsmen are given temporary passports . That's the level of their insecurity. Forget all those flimsy excuses . They don't allow refugees for security reasons, nothing more. But they won't tell you.

What that Saudi Prince did is wrong emotionally and Islamically. Islam does not support and condemned extravagant spending.
I am also not happy with Saudi Arabia for not accepting refugees into their kingdom.

You have to marvel at the shear hypocrisy exhibited by the world after the temporary travel ban.

It's this same Saudi Arabia where one of her princes spent precious money buying plane tickets for 80 pet vultures(pun intended) .there is a humanitarian crisis affecting Muslims and a Saudi prince's priority is to fly his vultures around with him.

It's this kind of misplaced outrageous ostentatious luxury that makes me side with trump on this .wouldn't it be lovely to hear how a Saudi prince spends a million dollars chicken change to help resettle a few refugees from Syria
