The world's most wonderful counselor {Isaiah 9:6} taught us how to get the best security ever: “Stop storing up for yourselves treasures on the earth, where moth and rust consume and where thieves break in and steal. Rather, store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust consumes, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also" Matthew 6:19-21 To be sure, there is great gain in godly devotion along with contentment. For we have brought nothing into the world, and neither can we carry anything out. So, having food and clothing, we will be content with these things. But those who are determined to be rich fall into temptation and a snare and many senseless and harmful desires that plunge men into destruction and ruin. For the love of money is a root of all sorts of injurious things, and by reaching out for this love some have been led astray from the faith and have stabbed themselves all over with many pains! 1Timothy 6:6-10 No true servant of God treasure worldly things to the extent of surrounding ourselves with bodyguards all due to material possessions! Luke 18:18-23 God bless you all and may you have PEACE! 1 Like |

MaxInDHouse: Security is common sense not worldliness. Any person who locks his door at night and locks the gate and locks the car and yet criticise others for the security measures they take is doing hypocrisy. why not let God watch over the car and the house |

petra1: Locking doors totally differs from hiring body guards! When you lock a room, shop or car you're making it private but when you're surrounded by security operatives you're displaying stupidity. What you're trying to protect is not hidden from those close to you and you can't trust any of them fully so why hiring them in the first place? Johnson is confused now because he's not sure whether his attackers have insiders among his guards. I'm talking from the point of view of a professional security services agent, the only person you can fully trust when going about with security operatives is yourself! 1 Like |

MaxInDHouse: Wrong. Do you leave your door open when you go out . Do you leave your car door unlocked? It’s not about privacy. For privacy all you need is curtain not door nor burglary proof. Some of you use iron door or still put wood behind the door. It’s only because thats what you can afford. Anyone who use iron door or armored door for house and critisize who use amoured car is a hypocrite . You only use the one you can afford . Everyone have the responsibility to protect himself . |

petra1: I'm really sorry, i don't mean to argue with you {Titus 3:9} I'm only interested in the words of the world's most wonderful counselor {Isaiah 9:6} if you're OK with his suggestion {Matthew 6:19-21} but if you feel wiser it's OK! Thanks for your time! 1 Like |

petra1: Worldliness is when Jesus speaks and you object. He loved one Jewish ruler so much after seeing how much the man wishes to gain God's kingdom so Jesus suggested that the young man put away all the prominence so as to be free from all the bodyguard stuff and easy to approach because that's how he can become a disciple of Christ who must go from house to house and door to door {Matthew 10:11-13} of course he can't do that if he's always going about with security operatives! Well the man felt that's too much sacrifice to make for being a disciple {Matthew 13:45-46} so he tuned away! Luke 18:18-23 That's what believing Jesus truly means. May you have peace! 1 Like |

MaxInDHouse: Nobody advocate for objection on what Jesus has said. Putting security in place especially when needed is wisdom . That does not take away the place of God's protection and trust. safety is still of tge Lord. Protection can fail. The fastest horse cannot save in battle. Proverbs 21:31 The horse is prepared against the day of battle: but safety is of the LORD. |

petra1:Safety is of the Lord implying that we leave matters such as that to God or that we take it upon ourselves to implement and trust in our own safety measures? On another thread, you mentioned how Jesus Christ did not go to Judea for a couple of days only for Him eventually head back the same way when His mission was over knowing fully well He was walking to His end. Are you insinuating that what Jesus Christ did was foolish, given your claim here that putting security in place when needed is wisdom? The disciples did the very same... they ran away as Jesus Christ instructed them to when faced with danger until it was time for them to die.. then they headed straight to their end. Are you implying that these men acted foolishly as well? 1 Like |

petra1:1. Actually, locking your door has more to do with privacy/boundary and less to do with security this since not all doors can be considered secure even when locked. I have such a gate in the fence in the yard here. The fence is short enough that anyone really wanting to get in can easily scale it and walk right into the yard. But with the gate locked, the hope is that the boundary established will be respected by all. 2. What your mogs do here is nothing similar to setting of boundaries or locking of doors. By riding around in armored cars and with security detail, they reveal that they are vulnerable and fearful of men, against God's very commandment that none of His own be reduced in such manner. That is sin against God registered in form of armored cars and security detail..
