It is much harder to conclude that the MD is the weak link than you make it look here. What about vandals of transmission line and pipelines, the discos who reject power to maximize profits too are there, what about the gencos who inflate price of energy passed onto TCN in order to make profit? The TCN is just there in the middle of the park suffering from everybody's imcompence

TCN is a technical organisation as such require technical knowledge to run. Bringing an accountant in just be cause the TCN revenue collection has dropped is a misnomer. The service TCN renders is a priority and the money they get for the service is a departmental problem. The financiers can send someone to manage that department.

I dont blame Fashola, i blame Engrs that never ever fight for their right even as Fashola (a lawyer) heads Power, works and transportation ministries which are all engineering based ministries. Even NIPP is has been headed by non engr. Am sure no DISCO is headed by an engr. The same problem goes with NNPC. When accountants and Lawyers are given engineering jobs, how would the infrastructure problem in Nigeria be solved.

TCN is an engineering company, what do you tnk will happen if an Engineer is made the minister for Justice or Health.Fashola is clueless on issues concerning power in the country.

[color=#000099][/color]Technical people like myself use to believe that other professionals can't be good for a technical company, quite unfortunate, they don't teach us management in school, we can't read a profit and loss account, we don't know how to prepare budgets, we can't analyse an annual report. In short only very few engineers without proper management background will run a successful company, rather than complain let's raise the bar and ensure we do lots of management courses so that engineers are not sidelined on issues like this.
