Five Reasons Tuface_idibia, Cancelled The Much Anticipated Nationwide Protest by Evans407(m): 10:39am On Feb 05, 2017
In the early hours of Sunday morning, many Nigerians woke up to the news that the most anticipated and well hyped nationwide protest championed by Tuface_Idibia has been cancelled. This was relayed via his social media platforms and a video on YouTube to the outrage of many Nigerians, who felt he made the wrong call, and shouldn’t have started what he could not finish.

This are five reasons why I think Tuface_Idibia cancelled the Protest.

Security Concerns
This was the main reason Tuface_Idibia gave to why he cancelled the protest. The fear of a peaceful protest been hijacked by people who would want to turn it in favour of their selfish interest. He said in the video, the “protest is not worth the life of any Nigerian”

Pressure for it Cancellation
This is another reason why Tuface decided to cancel the protest. Since the announcement of the protest, he had come under serious pressure to drop the protest. Off course you know, majority of the pressure would come from the Federal Government. In the video he said “after much consultation”, he decided to drop the protest, I bet he meant to say “after much pressure”.

Lack of support
The lack of support here comes from politicians, NGOs and religious organization who were very quiet to the idea of the protest. Although the Governor of Ekiti, Mr. Ayodele Fayose was vocal in his support of the protest, political power house like Olusegun Obasanjo advice against it and should be left for 2019 when they can change the government if they don’t like the present administration. The only meaningful support he got came from the entertainment industry and that was all.

Massive threat
This he received only by himself and probably extended to part of his concerned life. He may not come to say it, but many believed, threat to his life and other things contributed massively to the cancellation of the protest. Imagine a scenario where even the police are against the constitutional right of it citizens.

Fear
Lastly, Tuface_Idibia was scared to move on with the protest. You could see it in his eyes in the video. You know how humans are, they back you up when the road is smooth but when it get rougher and tougher, and they vanish without goodbye and let you suffer alone.
Well it is a popular saying, “It easier said than done”, that we have just witnessed that in full glory. Tuface_Idibia should have prepared properly and made adequate consultations before coming out to tell Nigerians about the protest.

for him to have conceived DAT kind of idea alone counts 4 something in my book of good deeds.
To d mindset of FG, dis protest is desame as campaigning against their stupid APC government.
Though I also believe Annie cried throughout yesterday pleading with him not to carry on with d protest because of all d threats 4rm different angles.
