Fresh information on the Beckham email backlash indicates the superstar actually fell victim to a £1million blackmail plot.

A ton of information was stolen off the computer system of Beckham's advisers’ and the aspect, in the form of private emails, concerning David Beckham, went public.

In these hacked emails, Beckham rants on about missing out on a knighthood and pours insults on the Honors committee.

The Russian Hackers initially approached Portugal-based sports firm early last year with a demand of £1 million not to expose the bombshell emails but Beckham’s team resisted the blackmail and called in police instead.
A source within the company said: “They approached by email and attempted to meet via another third party. They said we have all this information and you have to pay up. It was blackmail, pure and simple.
The source added that the hack wasn’t targeted at David at all but was a fishing expedition in which the superstar got caught in the crossfire.

It is gathered that the blackmailer approached the firm under the name Artem Lovuzov. He told Doyen Sports CEO Nelio Lucas via email...: “The leak is a lot bigger than you imagine…a generous donation, and you can be sure that all the information I possess will be destroyed.”

When the email was replied asking the sender to define “generous”, the response was:
“I think something between €500,000 and a million would be a good donation for this material, but I want to see your suggestion.”
When Doyen Sports CEO no reply, the blackmailer wrote: “Two days have passed already and my lawyer tells me that he has not been contacted by you or your lawyer.
"As I told you, I am a man of my word, and as well as stopping all publications I decided to delete all the documents from the site to prevent any kind of speculation.
Portuguese police have been investigating the case for 12 months contrary to reports they called in just this weekend.

These criminals have targeted a number of companies connected to the football world.

After the hackers’, the attempt to extort money and if that failed, the bombshell aspect of the stolen information are passed to the Football Leaks website from which other websites copy it. .....-
