After One Nigeria Protest What Next? by yomi96(m): 5:50pm On Feb 06, 2017 |
This question has being on my mind for some time now after all the march, shout and chanting solidarity for ever wat is the next step to take. in my own opinion a one day protest is in effective against this power drunk govt headed by a tyrant who have successfully polarized this country along ethnic and religious lines. The so called unions established for checking and criticizing govt policies and decisions r in ghost mode. i am not taken anytin away from todays protest but for govt to hear us and take us serious. we need to do more. lalasticlala |

unlike previous protest when we protest against increment in fuel price and removal of subsidy where after much pressure govt will have the only option to reduce fuel price and normalcy will resume... after Feb 6th protest what next....are we to expect drastic fall in food price... are we to expect a dollar to equal 200 naira or less... are we to expect resumption in old way of life (corruption).. the protest is a scalar protest with magnitude but no direction.. cant really figure out the real motive behind the protest.. let's protest for restructuring of government let's protest for true federalism let's protest for unitary parliamentary system of government by scraping senate that's is the only way forward .... that is wat will bring down food price... that is what will make dollar equal to one naira every one will hold his governors and constituent local chairman responsible there won't be national cake the burden has been so much on federal govt that is what makes them turn sickler and madmen towards us... let's speak with one voice towards this issues... 2 Likes |

If the protests turn into a revolution like it do in Romania , PMB could step down. |
Re: After One Nigeria Protest What Next? by REDshouse(m): 6:20pm On Feb 06, 2017 |
Omudia11:it won't lead to any revolution my dear...we are more sophisticated than that...its a complex society we leave in where every national issue will either be politicised or powered with ethnic and religious coloration |

yomi96:after the protest, By tomorrow everyone will go back to defending their ethnic politicians...e.g, Yoruba will start with a stance that osibanjo must succeed Buhari should anything happen to him because its his right as stipulated in the constitution "but who right don help in 9ja?". Hausa will tell us "OYO"...Over their dead bodies should they allow Yoruba take what belongs to them because it's their right to have the seat of presidency till 2023 and they will never allow what happened to them under yar ' adua/Jonathan regime to repeat itself again!!! "you begin to ask yourself questions like; why waste national treasury on elections when it's already known that the north By virtue of zoning have been slotted to produce the presidency at least until 2023... You begin to wonder the credibility of elections being conducted in Nigeria...Then, the igbo man, out of spite for the Yoruba nation "which u cant blame them for" will tell us they must support the hausa-fulani should they want to step on the constitution just to take What's rightfully theirs by resigning osibanjo just to ensure that they continue from where Buhari stopped. In short, Nigeria is so ethnically and religiously divided that a sincere human being can easily and boldly assert that Nigeria will not move forward even in 50yrs to come... forgive my mistakes. |
