Manchester City Vs Chelsea [2 - 1] On Sat, 5th Dec by Cristalz(f): 10:48am On Dec 04, 2009 |
Manchester City get a chance to show some mad skills as they welcome Chelsea to the the City of Manchester Stadium on Saturday evening. After a beautiful display against Arsenal on Tuesday in the Carling Cup, they are itching to show the 3 - 0 win wasn't a fluke. Coach Mark Hughes has got all his strikers fully fit, so there might be a little selection headache ahead of this match. Emmanuel Adebayor, Carlos Tevez, Robinho, Roque Santa Cruz, and Craig Bellamy are all available. A likely pair would be Adebayor and Tevez, especially as the two have faced Chelsea numerous times with their previous clubs(Arsenal and Manchester United). Plus, the sight of Tevez heading full throttle toward goal still scares most defenders. But, Hughes might want to start Robinho as well for some Brazilian magic. . .Bellamy is most likely coming off the bench later in the game. Ex-Chelsea midfielder Shaun Wright-Philips picked up a calf muscle strain in Wednesday's Carling Cup match against Arsenal, but is expected to be fit enough to play on Saturday. His speed and creativity will be immensely desired by Hughes in the middle. Martin Petrov is out with a knee injury, and just might make the bench. Very doubtful though. Steven Ireland should start, as well as Gareth Barry. Vladimir Weiss might be given a chance after his goal against Arsenal on Wednesday night in the Carling Cup. As any good coach knows, when you play Chelsea, you need your strongest midfielders. In defense, we should see Kolo Toure, Lescott, Zabaleta. Will be interesting to see Wayne Bridge as well. Against Chelsea, the Manchester City defense have got a lot of work cut out for them. High-flying Chelsea get a chance to further cement their lead on the table when they pay a visit to Manchester City. Carlo Ancelotti has been doing all the right things and recording victories so far in the EPL, and doesn't expect this to be an different. Strikers Didier Drogba and Nicolas Anelka will be called upon to work their magic against Manchester City. Striker Solomon Kalou is out injured with a thigh strain, but it should only be for about two weeks. In the middle, we should see the usual starters. Frank Lampard, Michael Ballack, Michael Essien, Deco/Joe Cole. These men don't do a lot of running around(with the exception of Joe Cole), but they mostly take their chances whenever they get them. Considering the presence of Shaun Wright- Philips in City's midfield, Joe Cole will be a better choice than Deco. Defender Jose Bosingwa remains injured. Alex is out injured with a thigh muscle strain; we could see Carvalho stepping in to join John Terry in central defense. LB Ashley Cole also suffered a thigh muscle strain, but it's very likely that he will be fit to play on Saturday. This match is most likely ending in a draw, but Chelsea have still got an edge over Manchester City. |

~Borat~: On the other hand, I think citeh will pull out a draw again. 1-1 Nic to score for the chavs and watch Greedybayor equalise and score his first goal against Chelski! |

Citeh will beat Chelsea or at least get a draw. They seem to elevate/downgrade their play to the level of the opposition. Even the ManU game was heading for a draw. |

City to knick this one. A 3-1 win for the new money bags Adebayor, Bellamy and a terry own goal. |

Once again, the match will be won by the team that defends better on the day. Both teams have good attacking forces . . City have quicker players but Chelsea play better as a unit. There will be many threats in attack and there might be a few goals hence it's up to the team that decides to defend better. |

My boys will bring Chelsea back to earth. Expect us to keep breaking records. Another draw with us conceding a very late goal because all our defenders are on the other side of the pitch |

I don't know how I feel about Manchester. I do know I like to dress in mini leatherskirts. I have to wear thick stockings though so you can't see my leg hair. I would shave if it was more acceptable for men. Love Always, Joseph |
