The premise of this argument is that men are getting married but women are not. How can that be?

Given that men do not marry themselves it stands to reason that if they are not marrying or dating the women, then they too are not getting married or are not dating anyone.

The only way woman can be single but men are getting married, and any of the reasons posted above is the cause, is if the men are marrying fellow men.

Take an illustration:

In a world of 10 people, where there are 5 ladies and 5 gentlemen, if all of the gentlemen refuse to get married then all of the ladies will remain single and the ratio of single men to single women remains 1:1. If two of the gentlemen refuse to get married, then two of the ladies will remain single but this means that the ratio of single men to women remains 1:1. Unless the women are getting married to more than one man, or any of the men die, the ratio of single women to single men cannot possible increase.

your illustration of men and women standing at a ratio of 1:1 is so wrong. There are more women than men and it would remain like that till eternity due to certain factors like ;

1. Enrollment into the military : more men in military, and high chances of dying in conflict.

2. Dangerous activities : men are most likely to be invol in practices like armed robbery, cultish and join gangsters which also reduce men population on daily basis.

3. Occupation : yes, women also get involved too but they are mostly dominated by men. jobs that induce high levels of stress, kill men yearly.

4. Sexual orientation : women are also lesbians but men are gay too. That also reduce the number of men on the dating market.

It's not just about men refusing to get married, though so many guys aren't interested in marriage, the economic uncertainty in one but also because they know they are spoilt with choices to choose from. Every year, those factors srared above create a huge deficit to the number of men related to women. For me the correct ratio is actually 1:6. Even God predicted all these in the bible, in the last days women would beg men to marry them to bear their name without minding if he has other wives.

I am in agreement with your statement. Naturally, males species are polygamous. One man one wife is not natural.
The only thing I see driving men away from taken more wives is the responsibility involved in nowadays living system.
Out of every ten men you see today, eight of them are having secret affairs with one Lady or even more.
Polygamy system is the only ultimate and natural way to solving this problem of many ladies remaining single .

Be honest with yourself, women are more than men in this world. Goto churches, market, schools, hospitals. Except some vocations that arent suited for them like military, mining and field work.
