Some of these south south indigenes haven't seen a Muslim in their entire life. I've been to the North - there's enough there to build a vibrant, self-sustaining economy, the problem is the foolish religious dogma that declares anything progressive as haram but all the destructive habits that leave people in a bind, such as child marriage and religious indoctrination are halal.
