CAstruggle: Wow...that's awesome....Please if i may ask, i have also been using freetone which worked well at first, only to later realize that it no longer rings but just shows missed calls. I have missed a lot of calls because of this. Did you experience such? 2 Likes |

damidamsel: Hi Damidamsel, I know your question wasn't directed at me but I have experienced same and it was mainly due to the fact that my phone was on silent mode, and i didnt set call notification to a ringtone, so I don't hear it ring and only notice the missed call when I open the app. Once I removed it from silent mode and changed the notification from my settings, it was okay. 8 Likes 4 Shares |

ibnhasan: From what I read on that thread, the copr and passport will be retrieved from you while they send you a mail to send in spouse documents (whether the said spouse is accompanying you or not), same as you would send if you were adding him/her post AOR or Post Ppr. |

vascey: I just downloaded the app as advise here on this thread. Then purchased a number and unlimited calls to US/Canada. Then for the address I used my uncle's home address since I would be residing there temporary when I arrive 1 Like |

damidamsel: Yes I did. The app needs to be open always. At least within work hours in Canada. Just like your WhatsApp is always open and active. 3 Likes 2 Shares |

vascey: http://iss-ssi.pwgsc-tpsgc.gc.ca/msi-ism/ch2-prt1-eng.html for an immigrant you work as to sponsor you , am on the process. you need your police report again regardless of the security check from PR. it can take from 2-6 months if you submit all your documents fast. |

optionese:Thanks. Seems straight forward. A brief look at the nca site shows assessment fees as $450 and nca challenge exams at 340 each. So with 8 courses and assessment that's roughly $3200. Not bad at all. Way cheaper than docs pathway lol!! |

vcole: Thanks @vcole. If you can't posit on the job outlook, at least you will have a thought or two to share on liveability, social "bubblingness" (its my English oo ), city events unique to either of them, neighbourhood character etc. God bless! It will end in praise IJN. |

Hello everyone, I and my husband got our COPR last year and just successfully added our new born baby. Please I need insight into settling in Edmonton. What area of Edmonton would be best to settle in with a newborn baby. Are there any info we should be aware of? How easy or not is it to get those work from home jobs for myself. I dont intend to start full time work at the moment. |

TEECANN:This bubblingness, I don't think I'm the right person for a proper assessment oh cos I'm more of a netflix and chill person, but if I'm to make a very very uninformed opinion, I would say Calgary is more bubbly than Edmonton. Job outlook - I think Edmonton is better economically at the moment than Calgary. I also think that cost of living might be slightly cheaper in Edmonton, at least rent-wise. In terms of character, they may be pretty much similar. 3 Likes |

Hello Nairalanders, It occurred to me to bring this matter out for an advice lest one waste his time applying for job unrealistically. I don't know if anyone has ever applied for a job online from here in Nigeria and got it and subsequently travel to Canada based on that (not through any human connection but on a plain ground). I hold ACCA, ACA and Bsc. I have seen many of those job opportunities which take time to be applied for but I want to be sure if the time spent on them will be an investment or a waste of time. Kindly help in writing, citing if someone has achieved that and through personal experiences you or your friend(s) had on this. Thank you in advance for your time. |
