Threatened by the re-positioning of the much talked about mega party and the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) ahead of 2019, the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) is contemplating replacing President Muhammadu Buhari due to his failing health and dwindling political influence.

With the General Elections in the country a little over two years away, the next 12 months will be strategic for political realignments in the quest for power at the centre as the two major political parties– APC, and the PDP– jostle for power.

Ikenga Chronicles learnt that political gladiators eyeing the presidency have already started positioning themselves for the 2019 contest. There are strong indications that the much talked about mega opposition party will be formed before the end of the first quarter of 2017.

This is as the interim national chairman of the proposed mega party–Action Democratic Party (ADP)–Yagbagi Sani, led his members two weeks ago to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC)where he officially commenced the application process of the association to be registered as a party. He has already declared his prospective party will dislodge both APC and PDP in 2019. However, with the ongoing alignments and re-alignments in the nation’s political space, the race for the 2019 elections can only get more dramatic.

A highly placed APC source told Ikenga Chronicles on Saturday morning that the greatest mistake that the APC would make is to re-feature Buhari in 2019.

‘’The APC has started meeting to see the need to convince the president to shelve his 2019 ambition. Featuring Buhari in 2019 would be the greatest mistake APC would make.”

He added: ‘’ There is need to shop for Buhari’s replacement or else, the so called mega party and the PDP would sweep the APC out of Aso Rock’’

Meanwhile, the ADP has started wooing members of the ruling APC and PDP, dangling a plethora of strategic positions. Evidently, ADP intends to re-enact the APC merger.

But, unlike the APC, the road may not be so rosy for the said new mega party as findings have revealed that besides the plan to form the party, those involved in the talks were also considering adopting any of the existing political platforms.

I was expecting you and Sarrki to deal with the topic holistically but you ended up sounding like a urine from three storey building.

I have said it before that Sarrki is like the biblical Ahithophel who was a counselor to Absalom.(2nd Samuel 17:1 down). Even when Absalom was making mistakes, Ahithophel (Sarrki) was still supporting him. In verse 23, Ahithophel committed suicide when one of his evil counsellings to Absalom was rejected.

At this point, I will say that those encouraging Buhari to ignore all the warnings from his doctors and continue leading even to the point of contesting for next general elections are murderers and Ahithophels of this present Nigeria.
