Mayhem as usual on the Gay thread. . . . .as if to say they are sharing men!! Keep away Barca and Real for now, give me anybody. I haven't seen any team to stop us from the two above. . . . so bring on anyone Even the seeded teams!!! |

Hemp don't worry, none of the teams that finished 1st will meet each other, but for TKB to think y'all can easily kick AC Milan out is one of the poorest football judgements ever. |
Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only. by tkb417(m): 4:20pm On Dec 10, 2009 |
edoyad:poorest football judgement a game of football is not won because of how prestigious the name of a club sounds but on current form and ability AC Milan just played Zurich FC and got a draw ( through a penalty) while UTD beat Wolfsburg away 3-1 in germany Even if this isnt enuff to be categorical on whos gonna win, tell me what MIlan has done this season to think they stand a chance against UTD the best team in Italy (Inter) will be roasted by UTD Milan cannot beat Villa over 2 legs |

@tkb417 Please, stop mentioning Wolfsburg They should be banned from UEFA CL for the next 10 years How can Owen who Manure is rehabilitating, score a hattrick against them? The club is a disgrace |

~Sauron~: 1 - I disagree wiv u on the Verm vs Carrick one Sharon, Verm's been outstanding since arriving at the emirates, how long did it take carrick to settle-in?. . . He's the ONLY defender in the EPL wiv the highest scoring tally. . .So again i ask, is Carrick anywhere near Verm? 2 - Fabregas has never had a good game against Fletcher. . .? Oh well i'll leave THAT to Ramsey cuz FAB nor be Lawn Mower Mate. . .Did u see what Ramsey did during the Scotland vs Wales? . . Don't make me hurt u wiv more sharon! So tk bk ur "Fletcher is better then FAB, or i'll make him chase Ramsey's shadow again, like he always does!! 3 - I'd take RVP, Bellamy or another striker in the world on any day! Berbatov?. . .@ 30mil plus, he's the most useless striker, supporting striker. . any club'll sign, Fergie has learnt his lesson, so the ONLY thing he can do for Berba is make him play cameo roles. . .I'd pick Wellbeck anytime or day over that slowpoke! 4 - Rosicky VS d Chin? *I just ordered another round of orgasmic laughter. . .*, you've gotta be kidding me, EVEN Nasri is better then JS park!LMAO 5 - Nani shits on Rozzy, Nasri?. . . I wonder why Headmaster Obatanla beats him to a starting place every week! Explain that pls! Sharon, if u STILL wanna argue, i'm all ears baby, but PLEASE get your facts straight brov cuz you're SERIOUSLY making urself look like |

Tkb, Let me tell you something about ACMilan. They have a Mid field of very athletic 30 year olds who just know the right time to exert themselves. They drew with FC Zurich yes, but what about before that ? They took 4 points from Real madrid and 3 of the 4 points were from Bernabeau. Incase you don't know about their present form, they've crawled back from almost ten points behind Inter to just 4 points as at last weekend - they've replaced Juve as 2nd placed team in the Scudetto. Players like Clarence Seedorf(this is his 15th year in Europe) know more about the atmosphere in a European match than most coaches today. If you've seen the partnership between dinho and Seedorf you'll know that team can devastate any team in full gear. What about Nzaghi ? If you think Scholes and Giggs are impressive at 35 watch this monster when He's not injured and see how goals come from thin air. While i'm not saying they're unstoppable, they're the most unpredictable team left, that i can vouch for. |
Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only. by Sauron1: 5:02pm On Dec 10, 2009 |
v3nom4eva: Vermaelen is outstanding and he couldn't stop Arsenal from losing at home against Chelsea?? Go and check the stats. . . . .Gallas-Toure have defended better than Gallas-Vermaelen. So because Vermaelen scores goals makes him better than the others. Lescott scored more goals than Ferdinand, Terry and Vidic last season so we should assume he is the best defender in the EPL last season?
Everytime Fletcher has faced Arsenal midfielders, he makes them cry like babies. Diaby, Fabregas, Gilberto and even Patrick Vieira have all been chopped down to bits by Fletcherino. . . . . No one is saying Fletcher is better than Cesc as their roles are different in their respective teams but whenever Fletcher is on the pitch, Cesc disappears.
U will take them because as a GAYnner, blindness is a common trait. Van Persie is useless for his club and country. . . . . .At least, Berbatov has scored good goals in the past for SPURS and Leverkusen. He is the highest goal scorer for his country. . . .with a goal ratio better than Henry, Torres, Rooney and other world class strikers in Europe. Let us have the stats Van Persie and Bellamy for club/country. . . . .The last time i checked, Berbatov has won the English league. Something no Arsenal player has on his CV apart from Agent Silvestre(United reject).
JS Park sodomised and reduced Nasri to bits at the Emirates in the CL-Semifinal. Who broke the long clean sheet run in the CL at the Emirates? Rosicky is a paraplegic. He missed his calling. . . . . .He shoulda been a stripper.
Obertan has not started a game yet for United. . . . . .Check your facts right. Nani shits on Rozzi/Nasri cos if those troglodytes are United players, they wouldn't make the reserve team. Buncha overrated light-weights. Nasri came into the EPL busting with promises but at the end of it all, he has joined the TROPHYLESS campaign. There's a reason Cesc said ARSENAL NEED VIAGRA and i am beginning to think the fans need intellectual VIAGRA as well.
I have presented ma facts. . . . . .The onus is on you to take it down. All i know is good players WIN things regardless of the circumstances. Arsenal players don't qualify as good players cos it's becoming embarrassing for a bunch of nitwits to be considered good when they cannot even win the Carling Cup or their domestic league in 5 years. Fletcher(3 EPL, 1 UCL, 2 FA cup, etc) Nani(2 EPL, 1 UCL, Carling Cup, etc) JS Park(3 EPL, 1 UCL, 2 Carling Cups, etc) Compare these achievements to the bell ends you display at the Emirates week in week out and see the difference. United players are winners. . . . .despite winning 3 in a row, the desire is still there to win more. Tell us why Wenger's team cannot win 2 league titles in a row. Lack of hunger!!!! Evra: MEN against Boys(May 2009) Cesc: Arsenal need VIAGRA(July 2009) 'Nuff said. |

Edomonday!! AC Milan beat Man U? Did u smoke Wollies!! Can u rate the Italian League in the same page as the EPL? A team Arsenal decimated last season? Hmm tell me something else pls Inter who is topping their league was rapped at OT and San Siro by Man U Juve? Bayern who is No 5 in the Bundesliga raped dem without condom meanwhile we beat the german Champions with not just a make shift defence but also some 'smallies'. , .so beware of what u wish for. AC Milan in current form CANNOT beat Manchester United. . . .quote me anywhere. The quality of the Italian league has soo dropped that its almost amounting to an insult squaring it up with the EPL! Give me a team from the La Liga or even the French men and i might have a re-think but hell no. . . . . no Italy!!! |
Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only. by BinghiNya(m): 5:16pm On Dec 10, 2009 |
Gunners don't believe in stats. They believe winning trophies isn't a factor. Thats what lack of trophies causes. |
Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only. by nateevs(m): 5:34pm On Dec 10, 2009 |
HNIC: In a match that bears no consequence on the whole tournament. So by your expression of sarcasm . . we all should assume because we didn't beat Apoel we won't reach the Semis. . Some clubs just know how to raise their game when it matters. . . e.g when we needed to brush you aside. We disperse all manner of mediocrity when it matters. I know how you feel. I know it's unfair . . but that's just Chelsea. You should dig for more facts not holding on to these once in a while events to put life into your arguments. . It's getting boring. |

Sharon, Oh so you fielded kids against burnley or was it ur 1st eleven & still lost?. . .Where were rooney, giggs, carrick, fletcher, nani in fact your so-called man yoo knuckle heads when Chelsea raped u @ the bridge?. . . Are u talking abt the same Nasri that bagged a brace against you? or someone else? Guy, i see you're starting to waste my time&arguing wiv ur likes ain't worth it, i've got bigger & brainier fish to fry! javascript:void(0); You've gotta be smoking pot, Arsenal play as a team, NOT individual. . Saying Verm could have stopped Chelsea from defeating Arsenal shows your IQ is really below par. Oh & you fink Nani will make the 1st team in Arsenal?? the horse speaketh!! i'm laughing in unknown tongues!! Fletcher against FAB. . .Nah! he ain't worth FAB's squeeze, i'll leave lil'ramsey to do the job on him! Good players win things regardless of the circumstances. . .?Now explain how AFTER playing soooo well against Chelsea, u still lost? You're a clown, seriously u are! |
Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only. by Sauron1: 6:11pm On Dec 10, 2009 |
v3nom4eva: See this poof. . . . . . .U are citing isolating cases here. . . . .When i said WINNING. . . .I mean TROPHIES not matches. Barcelona are the best club in Europe and they lost to Numancia/Shakhtar Dontesk last season. . . .So what is your point? What is stopping your useless team from winning a TROPHY in the past 5 years?
Yet again. . . . .your small time mentality shines through. Nasri bagged a brace and won what? What happened to his medal? How many points did y'all finish below Man Utd last season? What did the same Nasri contribute when Fletcher led United's midfield to decimate Arsenal 3-1 at the Emirates on a bigger stage? U need prayers.
Vermaelen has not stopped any of the BIG TEAMS from decimating Arsenal this season. Man City, Man Utd and Chelsea have all despoiled Vermaelen this season and he did nowt. Torres will complete the quadruple on Sunday. Nani will walk into Arsenal first team. . . . .U don't have a player as good as him. All you have got are overrated featherweights who crumble when the going gets tough. . . . .Just like the way it has been for 5 seasons, EMPTY PROMISES and BROKEN DREAMS. Arsenal will deliver this season. . . .oh, they will deliver next season. Your team is a joke and you sir are a plonker.
The same Fletcher that wiped Cesc on the floor several times last season? Where was Cesc when Fletcher was beating your midfielders for fun last season or in 2007/8 when he bagged a brace against Gallas/Toure? Fletcher >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> All Arsenal midfielders. His medals can prove that.
Mr nitwit, 'win things' in this context = WIN TROPHIES. You and your pathetic club have small mentality. All you whine about is winning few games while the likes of FLETCHER are winning Championships. Who still remembers Man City trounced Man Utd in 2007/8 season after United won the league and the Champions league. Keep winning the little battle, United will keep winning the WAR. . . .3 TITLES in a row while Arsenal cannot even win the smallest Cup in the country. Wenger is pathetic.
U are the mumu here. . . . . . .Your whole outfit stinks The players are mediocre and your gaffer at best is mentally-challenged. Another season is almost through and one cannot see what Arsenal will win this season. By May 2010. . . . . . .It will be 5 years since Arsenal last won any title and SIX YEARS since they won the league. I know you are used to FAILURE so it won't matter to you but if i were you. . . . . .I will jump into a lagoon. |

Sauron, you talk too much rubbish? how could Vermaelen have prevented Diaby from heading into his net or stop Almunia from having a blood rush to the head when we played against yu? |
Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only. by Sauron1: 8:10pm On Dec 10, 2009 |
duduspace: A good defender marshals his defence. He positions sane men to stand at strategic points to ward off opponent's attacks. Against United, Vermaelen failed to do that. . . . . . .I don't need to tell u what happened against Citeh. Adebayor sodomised the whole Arsenal defence unit when he danced around 5 defenders only for Wright-Phillips to miss from close range. |
Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only. by Emperoh(m): 9:07pm On Dec 10, 2009 |
I don't know how long it will take Gaynner to realise that their team has been demystified. Chelsea treated and beat you guys like a Championship side. . . . .Sunderland had initially did a rough one on you. Man Citeh? Tell me something new about your 'smallys'? What still keeps u guys loving the team is still the 9th wonder of the world. . . .the character is what arsenal lacks Anyway, only God knows how long you will keep clapping for Champions!! You people should quit robbing shoulders with the Man Us and Chelseas of the EPL. Who knows what Liverfluke will do to you guys over the weekend!! |

On This Day…in 1886, Dial Square (later Arsenal) played their first ever game, a 6-0 win v Eastern Wanderers! I could barely get out of bed this morning as my body still hurst from the three hours of football last night at the turf. Nevertheless, my brain is only just able to comprehend the thought that I could potentially have to attend up to three weddings tomorrow in different states. I’ll play it safe and attend one reception in Lagos…the venue is conveniently located 10 minutes from where I live. It would have been a different story if our game against Liverpool was tomorrow and not Sunday…need I say more? I skipped yesterday as expected cos there’s nothing to have been said then that I won’t be saying now. The lads did good against Olympiacos and even though they lost, they can hold their heads up proudly as they produced a tremendous performance for their ages…as we knew they would. One thing that never ceases to amaze me is how people who know next to nothing about The Arsenal Way can get on TV and criticize Arsene and his ways. Imagine Matthias Sammer going all off about Arsenal fielding teenagers in the Champions’ League. He said; "It’s the Champions League, one of the most important competitions worldwide, and he plays with a bunch of Kindergarten players. The UEFA rules allow him to do so but I can’t respect it. You have to pay a bit more respect to the Champions League. It’s the Champions League, one of the most important competitions worldwide, and he plays with a bunch of Kindergarten players. The UEFA rules allow him to do so but I can’t respect it. You have to pay a bit more respect to the Champions League.” Personally, I feel his statements are disrespectful to Arsenal and the players themselves. It’s not like Arsene was signing youngsters from the streets of Islington to play in Europe. Like he said, the rules allow it and the players were already registered at the begining of the season. What would you do if you had already won your group and you had a crunch league game at the weekend, most clubs would field a weakened team. What Arsene did was infact play a young promising side with the aim of providing them with the crucial experience they all say we lack and it was clear they didn’t look out of depth against the Greek champions who were clearly given a tougher task than they anticipated. It is clear that the spotlight is already on man of the match Aaron Ramsey. Besides, what does he really mean by kindergarten players, Aaron Ramsey – Rising star of the Welsh National Team, Alex Song – Cameroon International, ACN Young Player of Tournament 2008, Jack Wilshere – England U21, brightest young star in English football, Carlos Vela – Mexico International, World U21 Champion, Theo Walcott – England International…need I go on? I need to know where he buys whatever it is he is smoking from! Theo Walcott is of the opinion that he will be fit for Sunday’s clash against Liverpool after needing treatment late on during Wednesday’s game against Olympiacos. I’m glad he added the when I was younger part though. Still he insists that he will play his heart out against them should he feature on Sunday. It was clear from the 90 minutes he featured on Wednesday that although he was match fit, he lacked sharpness and decisiveness. That my friends comes with playing regularly and I’m sure with a couple of games given our injury situation, he will be back to his best. One player not making the trip to Anfield however is fan favourite Emmanuel Eboue. Eduardo and Diaby possibly could make the trip. How the team shapes up will be clearer in the next couple of hours after Arsene gives his press conference and till then we can no nothing more than hope we have as large a squad as is possible. Carlos Vela by the way has signed a new long term contract with the club and while I admit he is a great talent, he really needs to work on his English as I believe it will help him a great deal both on the pitch and integrating well into life in England. We need to beat Liverpool; end of story. How we will manage that, we’ll look at tomorrow but till then, we need to focus on the prize. Till then…Victoria Concordia Crescit P.S I finally figured out how to get the links working on Nairaland, I guess I should have just asked! |

Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only. by debosky(m): 1:41pm On Dec 11, 2009 |
Dunno if Vela deserves a new 'long term' contract, ditto Eduardo. . . I think Wenger should have given them a full season to perform with the incentive of getting a good contract AFTER a great season and not vice versa. We've given deals to a whole slew of players now, but I'm not sure most of them are deserved. Vela, Eduardo, Sanchez Watt, Alex Song, Nicklas Bendtner, Denilson, Robin Van Persie, Theo Walcott, Lukasz Fabianski, Aaron Ramsey and Jack Wilshere, have all recently signed new long-term extensions with the Club. Of that set, the only ones deserving in my view are first and foremost Alex Song, then RVP, Ramsey and Wilshere. The others in the undecided box are Denilson and Fabianski while Vela, Eduardo and Walcott should've been given a while to deliver before signing them up. All that said, we all remember the blame Wenger got for allowing Flamini to leave on a free contract because his deal was left till the last season before renewal. In that regard maybe Arsene is simply hedging his bets as to whether or not these players come good. With the new deals, even if he has to sell the players, he'll have some negotiating power to make some profit of their sales. |
Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only. by duduspace(m): 1:47pm On Dec 11, 2009 |
hmmm Debosky, yu've got a point and we don't have the full contract details but its all about player power (remember Flamoney?). What I'm glad about is the fact that Song got a new one cos he deserved it. I mean, if Walcott is on 60K per week then Song should ideally be on 80-100k per week but we know Theo is their pikin and filling our English quota Arsene is often accused of not filling enough so no need to be too vexed about it. I hear Song is now in the 45k to 55K bracket and will likely be offered an improved contract yet again next season. |
