In as much as I hate commenting on anything that have to do with Nigeria Goverment
I just have to say this

Its only a visionless leader that will ban food importation without having enough on ground to meet people's need while working on the local products

Then let the govt lift the ban on importation of some of the essential food items like rice and also build more storage facilities all over the nation,... Lots of farm produce wasting everything year for lack of proper storage facilities.

Contact us for all your roofing jobs and roof maintenance etc

IDPs in the NE are now reported to be eating grass that Baba Chair refused to clear after collecting 270 million

Serious hunger is ravaging the core north
Trust me, you don't hate this government as much as I do. However, peddling lies and falsehood just to drive home our points is quite embarrassing. The picture is that of a pastor who ordered that his members eat grasses. Let's criticize objectively.

The Duara pharaoh has been releasing grains to his almajiri constituents since 2015.

Grain reserves that where stored since 1999 and which peaked during GEJ have been severely depleted during the 2 miserable years of the dullard.

Now he has squandered it on his almajiri without even adding a single grain back.

Recall the fictions kebbi bumper rice harvest that they claimed amounted to one million tonnes? Well that is another brand new scam by the APC where their state governor declares bumper harvest and the Ministry of Agriculture buys fictions excess grains for storage.

This same useless govt stopped all subsidies to farmers and only knows propaganda as a harvest tool.

Well no matter how sophisticated the propaganda it can't put food on the table.

The massive looting that is going on in this useless Buhari govt is mind boggling and come 2019 these set of criminals will never ever relinquish power.

To pave way for US rice imports.

Read on Haitian rice industry collapse and the role played by Clinton foundation, Melinda and Bill Gates and the Obama White House and you will see your Buhari (who lifted tariffs on rice imports) as a mere puppet
You be humpty dumpty
A simple question of when did buhari removed rice subsidy. Give us date a d time but rather you begin to mention haiti rice.
My people you can see the kind of yoot we have in Nigeria? then you now see why they are unemployable.

Exactly bro, I have always said that.
You don't enforce total ban on products/items you haven't achieved self sufficiency in. While we encourage local production, we must allow and ensure at least limited inflow of imports to bridge the gap between need and availability.

displaced population in the NE, southern kaduna, Benue due to boko haram and Fulani herdsmen.

Compounded with the removal of fertilizer subsidy to farmers are leading to lowered food production in the middle belt and core north.

Throw in the possibility of an impending drought expected this year in the NW states of Sokoto, Kebbi, Kano, Katsina and Zamfara then we can safely assume that Northern Nigeria is fcked!

At least we in the south can still pay for our food but northerners eat what they farm.

We are just sitting on a keg of gunpowder. The last tenure devoted much energy to fertilizer subsidy and dry season farming. We also experienced a bountiful harvest later in the year because the earlier policies yielded fruits.
These days, these two policies wasn't sustained and costs of input are twice what they are. I pray by the harvest season of this year we can see enough to get by. Buhari won't finish us with hunger
