A couple of years ago I tried out Yasin cos I heard it's powerful. I had no specific niyah though I just made sure to recite it daily.
Then I noticed I was becoming weak health wise and I got scared like "hope this isn't draining my blood" and stopped it.
I then asked a Shiekh to tell me about the Surah but the guy was just going on about "it's powerful and that I shouldn't listen to what "folks"say about it".... He didn't even tell me categorically" hey, this is what Yasin does"

So, I shelved the idea.

All I can say is, its just a gift from God, a favour. I‘m not an Alfa o. Early in life I‘ve always inclined towards the esoterics. I discovered that I have a flair for it coupled with the fact that I hate ordinary things. So I realized I should engage in things that would sharpen & polish that gift...& besides I came from a lineage of mystics.

Everyone has a gift but we human are not always contented with what we have or want what another person has thereby disregarding our natural gift & not polishing it.

But Yasin is fiery therefor drains energy (blood) therefor a constant reciter most engage in alms giving always preferably- slaughter.

no doubt. Very sturdy sura. "Mubinu", some say 7. Others say 8. By Quran calculation they are 8.

Extract them from the sura and recite each ayah of mubin followed by your needs (niyat). You will find Him exactly where you want Him

chai, why did you stop brother? . The sura encompasses a whole lot. You just started to experience and you gave up. You need istiqama. Yes, it is feeling like draining blood.

Remember talking about this in a thread 2 years ago?. When I first recited 40yasin in a sitting I was weak and had fever. My sheikh and his friend were laughing. They gone through that. So they sacrificed. That's what you should have done with sadaqa.


Sura kawsar verse 2 talks about it.

Sura Yasin has "protracted benefits", of which are, it builds fortresses around you against enemies. Bolster your confidence on the Day of akhira and qabr. It is also for intercession. Great for healing. And wealth too. And many more in text. How about what Allah can do with it that are not even written. My sheikh use it for defense in most cases. Its benefits are beyond text.

My sheikh recites it a lot. There was a day me and him were walking down the street to his farm and there was this known woman many know to be evil minded and member of occult but she's our neighbor. She doesn't mess with us. So she was walking opposite direction. The road is wide enough for two cars but this woman had to pinch herself in the side bush and was looking frightful. I asked my sheikh what happens to her and he says she has bad conscience.

He said instead of seeing him she's seeing wild animal like lion, tiger that appeared to tear her apart. This woman likes to greet people a lot with her kneels on the ground. She always says to my Sheikh "mo gba fun e oo". She doesn't hide this actually. She's says this all the time.

Similar thing happened between him and alagemo people (mushrikun) during their annual festival.

Ya I know i read suratul waqia everynight b4 going to bed, been doing it for more than a yr now. I actually read suratul jinn, waqia an yasin in the evening.

Sheikh Ibn Arabi narrated his experience that happen in early stage of his life, when he was very sick, and his father was reciting Surat Yasin beside him on his bed. Suddenly, he saw a vision of somebody like human, I don't remember precisely how he described it ( in Alamal Mithal).

Then, he asked who are you, the "FIGURE" replied "I am Surat Yasin". He said that vision had tremendous impact on his spiritual development later on. Such is mysterious nature of that Surah.

@ikupakuti, what would you say about this dhikr :

ُ لَآ إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّا ٱللَّهُ يسٓ

Such combination ring a bell? One of the reason I asked for your view on Muqattat earlier today is because above remembrance formular. Not knowing that Ya Sin will even cropped up in details today like this.

Everybody wants to be rich. Dont mind those who say that hadith is fake. Everything is fake to them anyway. The holy prophet called it surat غنى & numerologically it has been proving to bear that name. If you can extract all the ayats of wealth (مال) from the Quran I‘ll develop a powerful formula for you with Q56.

The life of this world is that of struggle and test. May Allah (swt) help and give us strength to be able to do HIS bidden, and show us HIS RAHMA to be able to enter al jannat firdaus aminnn.

Actually, some may consider that hadith daef based on the fact that is not reported in any sahih sitta, but Allah know best.

i understand. But to be honest, i have lost memory of mubin part. I can relate to what you saying but memory don fades . What's fresh on my mind at the moment is "kun fa ya kun".

Too weak to even pray salat. I no know who send am to read Ya sin. Lol. I know about this because I always check him out when he's reciting. The test results says its Typhoid and malaria. The injections and drugs have not made any changes. I'm just keeping quiet to observe how it will turn out. I like to mind my business.

I stopped reciting Yasin too when I noticed I always get injured with bloody cuts any particular day I recite it. eje ti o to'nkan tele.
blood must come out of my body shaa ni. I'm taking a break from it.

I thank Allah for making me a Muslim. He has given us a book that can bring Shaytan and his loyalists to their knees.

I'm glad I'm not alone in that experience. Empiree, Fear catch na im I run at a point, I was thinking it was probably my mind messing with me but I stopped just to be on the "safer" side. To avoid stories that touch biko. Lol. I'll probably reconnect with the Surah at least this time, I'll be better prepared.

The very day that's was given to me as a form of remembrance in my dream. I Started to believe that those muqattat (initials) in the holy Quran bear the imprint of DIVINE name.
