The US would spend a staggering $30,000,000,000/ year on the 30,000 additional troops for the upsurge in Afghanistan; that’s $1,000,000/year/soldier on this war alone; it beats my imagination. With trillions of dollars in budget deficit and a recessed economy, how does the US intend to source these funds? And what would be the impact on the rest of the world economy especially developing economies in Africa? Should the US just donate half of the money ($15,000,000,000) to the Afghan government to fight its cause and put an end to this unending war? Or should it keep waging war against a faceless & amorphous enemy? what's your opinion? |

My opinion: They are just wasting their money; it'll do them nothing good. They ought to have left that unwinneable ground since. . .  |
