Very true. They used to but most escorts were the first victims. They were sitting ducks. The escorts were armed police men.

True that!

legalize fire arms in Nigeria and armed robbery will be a thing of the past. But the looting politicians wont dare do that because they are scared of citizens revolt in the face of blatant corruption. Imagine if half of the passengers in each bus had at least a baretta pistol, who will dare block the road to rob?

I hope those robbers meet their waterloo.

For where
Our olopas are busy doing bodyguard messengers to the fake big men whose chronic indebtedness to banks and owing salaries and pensions without paying taxes ensure youths turn to crime such as armed robbery and kidnapping.
Yet, the same senseless youths will be praising these fake big men in business and politics when they flex with their mansions and cars.
What a sad lot we are. embarassed undecided

.........because we also arrest and "deal with" petty phone thieves only while hailing those who create the unfavourable conditions (unemployment, no electricity, no roads, no schools etc) that push youths to steal from others.
Are we wise or not

Our policemen are busy doing errand boys for "constituted authority" while their IG is busy cruising his BMW so no fuel for patrol car and no salary for korofos.
The legisLOOTERS are also very busy sharing the national cake aka Niger Delta oil revenue to bother with such "mundane" issues.

The Nigeria's Inspector General of Police is a busy man, no doubt about that, he has to make sure there is peace and orderliness in the country, any breakout of peace will result in him been summoned either by the presidency or the National Assembly. Behind all this, it is tantamount that the man doing all these should be secured as well. We did a bit of fact finding analysis so see "The Beast" of the nation's police chief and what we see is quite amazing. We will leave you to be the judge. We bring to you the wonder on wheels of the Nigeria's Inspector General of police, a 2016 BMW 750Li.

EnigmaticEnigma:
That's why we need to have the right to own guns, if the state cant do it for us.

Think about how easy it would be to control this situation if the state was honest and zealous. They could have deployed the nearest helicopter available, 10-20 mins travel time and you already have a recon air craft. I don't even want to talk about drones, cause that is just pushing it, for our 10th century police force.

If you can't have rapid responses and perform critical operations, then please give us guns.

Just look at how many people are scared here, just because of probably some 5-10 thugs with guns. If half of these people here were packing small to serious heat, then lets see what will happen na angry

I'm just remembering those seized shotguns from customs now, meeen, I need one or two of those bad boys.
God bless you. I think govt need to relax gun laws. If they cant protect us at least they should allow us protect our lives and loved ones. Is it too much to ask? Ordinary local pistol all these small boys will be behaving like gods , raping wives and daughters and killing husbands. As soon as I marry I swear I'll start packing some crazy heat.

I imagine that you think the government is the same as the president, not so
Your

- LGA Councillor,
- LGA chairman,
- state lawmaker,
- federal representative and
- senator,

are they not also part of government?
Or why do you think we pay them so many millions every month?
You should petition them to make LAWS to allow guns to be carried by everyone.
Simple, really. Instead of typing to complain, get INVOLVED.
