Benue govt. trains 16,000 teachers By Peter Moses, Ilorin In a bid to enhance quality education across Benue state public schools, state Government on Thursday said it has re-trained 10,000 primary school and 6,000 secondary school teachers to in the state. The Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Prof. Dennis Ityavyar, made the disclosure on Thursday in Makurdi while giving his ministry’s score card in the past one year. According to him, government would support the original missionary schools taken over by the government with N500 million to enable the proprietors to execute necessary repairs. http://www.theguildng.com/?p=20612 |
