This generation still needs the kind of divine linkages that happened in the Bible. Elijah dropped his mantle on Elisha and he understood that it was the Lord that was calling him to a destiny training process. Apostle Paul came to the local assembly where Timothy was a brother who had a good report among the brethren and Paul invited him unto an apostolic destiny. Can we still find young men that will respond to divine invitations? There are some young men who prefer someone that God has not joined them to; the joining that God orchestrates will always have all that you need. The relationship that God joins you to will always have all that you need. Paul and Timothy will always be unbeatable; Elijah and Elisha will always be unshakable. The relationships that God joins you to supplies something to your life or journey that makes your destiny possible.

But we need to discover the people that God is linking us with. Most Christians don’t spend enough time praying so they depend more on their brain than on the Holy Spirit. This laxity has nudged this generation of Christians down the path where the devil can easily exploit them. The duties of a New Testament pastor must include leading his church members to develop their walk with God and sensitivity to the Holy Spirit for their personal advantage. There are remarkable answers waiting for you in the presence of God but you won’t be able to access them if you are not growing as a Christian.

A bank teller can become the spiritual counselor of his chief executive because God has planned that the executive will have a role in his future but it will not be the job that connects them. Take your spiritual development serious, don’t join the multitudes of Christians that assume only pastors ought to develop themselves spiritually you will need it if you will fulfill God’s purpose for your life. The question is, “Is your spiritual life at the level that your destiny needs it to be?”

PRAYER: Lord, give me the grace to develop my spiritual life to the level that my destiny needs it to be and show me practical steps to take to make it so in Jesus’ name. Amen.
