Is it just me or there are others that are wondering why the price of some commodities especially food stuffs (e.g palm oil, garri, etc) keep going up?. Recently the acting president Osinbanjo set up a committee to investigate the reason behind the increment in prices of food in the country and they came back with an absurd reason which is cost of transportation; the question is did cost of transportation increase since 2016?. We understand the reason why the price of some of our foodstuff e.g Rice and others that make use of imported raw materials is on the increase but what of those that did not depend on importation?
i think the producer of foods in Nigeria intentionally decides to increase the price of their produce.
School owners decides to increase student fee because the food seller increase the price of food;in order to pay the school fee, the doctor decides to increase the medical fee. this has been the situation of things in the country and i think that without a proper policy, the situation will continue.
