The kano state governor his excellency dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje OFR today presented appointment letters to 765 newly recruited officers of the kano state internal revenue service...... You might recall countless thread here on nairaland comparing the IGR of different states to determine their sustainability and other economic indices.... Kano with its size and obvious commercial nature have been ranked poorly, this is due to the lack of tax education and frankly government negligence.... As we all know the recession is hitting the country hard and the legitimate agitation by the Niger delta people has forced the government to wake up to its responsibility In light of the above, the government have seen it necessary for kano to wake up and pull it's own weight.....
