Roughly all the roads in Nigeria are bad and very bad and who do we blame? the Government? when the roads meant for small cars are being used up by Tankers and all Trucks? |

saddik: I agree, this road must pass as one of the worst i have ever travelled on. Dont even try it once it gets dark unless you are in a huge luxury bus. The bends are way too many and badly positioned . . . and the road almost functions as a single lane road. |

My judgement will be based on places I've been to Benin - Ore has gotta take the cake mehn. I refuse to believe there are roads worse than that! Umuahia - Enugu is also baaad. There's even a sign post at one of the junctions warning you of veerrrry dangerous potholes! |

i have travelled to virtually all states in the federation and believe me,Ilorin-Jebba- Mokwa,benin-ore,Ikom-Calabar,Gombe- Yola,Lokoja-Ajakuta and Lagos-Abuja via Akure or Ekiti would make you wonder why we bother even making pretending we have roads in Naija. More like mine fields or some poor imitation of the craters on the moon.Maybe we should start driving moon crawlers! |

Anyone that says Benin-Ore road is the WORST in Nigeria definitely has not traveled. The REAL problem with this road is the frequent and annoying TRAFFIC JAMS which is caused by the massive traffic that goes through the road each day. As for Abuja - Lokoja road, there's absolutely nothing wrong with the road. The problem rather lies with the attitude of drivers that ply the route. If only those Govt convoy drivers, trailer drivers and tired drivers coming from the far south can watch their speed, the Lokoja-Abuja route should be one of the best in Nigeria |

Ibadan-Oyo-Ogbomosho Ilorin road. The contract for the dualisation of this road was awarded in 1999 when OBJ got into power and 10 years later its still under construction while lives continue to perish. This is the major road the connected Northern Nigeria to Lagos the Abuja-Kogi-Ipele is a detour many drivers take to avoid the craters on Ibadan-Ogbomosho road Also worth mentioning are Ilorin Mokwa-Jebba Ipele road |

saddik: I also agree with poster. The Gombe-Yola road is the worst I've ever traveled in Nigeria. At the thought of going through the same road on my way back from Yola, I flew out of the town. |
