The armed robbery yesterday at Skye Bank in Ogbagi Akoko, Akoko North West Local Council of Ondo State, has left at least 3 people dead -security man, a police Sergent and a blind man. According to reports, the gang of armed robbers who invaded the bank situated at Uko around noon, gained entrance into the bank by using explosives to blow up the security door of the bank to access the room housing the Automated Teller Machines (ATMs).

It was also gathered that the armed men about 20 positioned, themselves at different locations within the bank, shooting at intervals to scare away security operatives in the town. The hoodlums reportedly carted away a yet to be ascertained amount of money from the bank during operation that lasted for about 45 minutes.

It is unfortunate that these kind of pictures still makes it to front page of renowned forum like Nairaland! It only shows how backward we are as a society.

Not one iota of respect for even the uniformed man!

In a sane country, the family of the deceased will sue whoever published these pictures online.
I plead with Seun and the mods to apply caution in posting pictures of dead people and accident victims. It goes against every ethics of journalism or even against the norms of a civil society.
Many a time, these victims have families and loved ones and these gory pictures do not depict how they would want to be remembered by their loved ones.
Even victims who survive these accidents go through psychological trauma and have life long psychological scars, many never recover from the Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Many go through nightmares.
Could you imagine a girl who had gone through great stress to make up and look good, then probably became a victim of an accident, do you think she would want the bloodied mess of her body to be on display everywhere on the internet?
Or may be a mourning mother who just recovered from the sad loss of a loved son on opening a Facebook page, incidentally got to see a religious post with the inscription against the picture of her son's body in a jelly of blood and tissues, "Type "Amen", if you don't want to be a victim of accident this year".
Sad sad! Please, Mods take note.

Why not do some work, look for the names and nice pictures of the victims and upload and still generate traffic instead of showing them online in this gory fashion?

The reason why I can never steal is because when you start having issues in life you wouldn't know how and where to start, imagine when ever you steal from someone the curses that is rained on you, okay like these ones that killed three persons , in average each of these dead three will have not less than 100 persons that will murn them plus those of us raining curses from nairaland so in whole more than 500 persons will rain curses on you, now tell me why you will not live a miserable life.
