Nigeria’s pioneer and foremost Information Technology company, Sidmach Technologies Nigeria Limited has partnered software giant, Microsoft to unveil SmartSchool, a cloud based effective, reliable and affordable school management solution.


The company, which started operations 23 years ago unveiled the solution alongside its All-Purpose Medical Information Solution (APMIS) during a press conference at the company’s corporate headquarters in Lagos today.

Speaking on the benefits of the SmartSchool solution, Sidmach’s Managing Director, Mr. Peter Arogundade said the school management solution was developed totally in compliance with UNESCO and Government Education policy framework.

“This is an era of digital transformation for businesses, where they can operate without boundaries using the cloud platform. Our SmartSchool solution is therefore suitable and strategic for every school. It simplifies and improves school administration,” he said.

He added that the SmartSchool solution provides prompt, reliable data for management and planning, enhances students, teachers and parents’ collaboration and enhance the monitoring of students’ performance.

Other benefits of the solution, according to Arogundade include streamlining processes and improve decision making, build stronger relationships within and outside the school community and ensuring better security of students’ information and data.

For the All-Purpose Medical Information Solution (APMIS), Arogundade noted that the solution connects all stakeholders in the health industry together on a single platform to harness the value that are inherent in seamless connectivity of health service delivery, education, research and administration.

He said APMIS will improve health care delivery services, makes hospitals easier and more efficient to manage, reduce operational cost and wastages and the same time provide timely and accurate data for decision making.

Meanwhile, speaking of the partnership with Sidmach, Wemimo Adeniyi, Microsoft’s Director; Small, Midmarket Solution and Partners stated that the software giant decided to partner Sidmach to reinvent and build on intelligent platforms.

She disclosed that the journey with Sidmach began in 2005 and have delivered exceptional solutions and services to its customers. “Our partnership with Sidmach produces solutions to meet customers’ needs. With the cloud based SmartSchool solution, students can get materials to learn easily, teachers can communicate effectively to students, while parents can easily access children’s performance,” she asserted.
