As we all know the Google Assistant feature was only made available to Google Pixel devices but few days back Google announced about expanding the Google Assistant feature to devices other than the Google Pixel. Before Google officially rolled out the update, there were other means to get the feature on your device, even popular Google Apps provider for custom ROMs Open Gapps added the functionality to their Gapps packages and also editing your device build.prop file (root access).

Nigerian Android users can access the feature by holding down the device home button or by saying the Google keyword "Ok Google". If you haven't received it update your Google app to the latest version and wait till your Google play service is updated (via server side).
