If a song by Davido is currently the listeners choice and it is topping virtually every chart displacing a more original version in Runtown’s Mad Over You. The song, If, was produced by another Rave of the moment, Tekno but the story is beyond that.

Foremost I must say that the concept of buying songs is not new and it s done everywhere. The difference between every other place and Nigeria is that the writers get credit for doing their work. Tiwa Savage was once a Sony music writer and she got credit for the track “Collard Greens & Cornbread” off Fantasia Barrino’s Grammy-nominated album, Back to Me which she co-wrote. No lies no shades about it. She did her Job. Contrary to the situation in Nigeria where we all want to be seen as a genuis. I can write, sing, rap, produce, mix and master.

Tekno and himself were not really close despite a previous collaboration when Tekno was less than an upcoming artiste. The song, Holiday shot Tekno into lime light but did little to enhance their relationship. Fastforward 2016, Tekno met Davido in South Africa, where he was due to sign his contract with Sony Music. Davido as at then had issues with his contract with Sony Music. Tekno a bonafide star of his own making now and now on equal standing with Davido. They caught up on old times and they became friends.

Few weeks after, he and Tekno hooked up in at Shizzi’s studio discussing the success Runtown’s Mad Of You. Tekno started the beat framework that day. He later finished the song and called Davido to listen. He was interested and they made a bargain and decision that the song would be Davido featuring Tekno which was later changed to himself alone

It will not surprise you that Davido kept hammering Tekno produced the song.

Well, With over 30 Billion naira in his account, you cannot hate.

Davido has been culpable many times in the past with the most recent being his Gbagbe oshi track originally sang by General Pype

Nestle Nig. Plc 2017 Cbt Contest for Students.

Registration is ongoing for the Nestle 2017 cbt contest, for secondary and tertiary students above the age of 16.
The scholarship is aimed at rewarding successful candidates with cash worth of 80,000 to 200,000.
This is the maiden edition and Nestle Nig. Plc is ready to reward hardworking and dedicated students.
HOW TO APPLY
1. Applicants must be Nigerians, between the age of 16-28
2. First stage: applicants are to write a short essay on the topic 'Do you agree that educated people are more valuable than people who have learned skills through experience in modern society.
3. Applicants are to send their essay to nestlecbt@gmail.com stating their names,mobile number, age,address and preferred state to write CBT examination if selected.
4. Upon submission, a confirmatory will be sent to applicant.
5. On 3rd of April, successful
applicants will be notified and sent their centres for CBT examination in their preferred state.
6. Only eligible applicants that have received their centres, will be requested to pay a sum of #1000 naira and bring teller to center on day of examination (note only those with teller will be allowed to take the exam)
7. Applicants will be tested on use of English, further maths and logic ranging 100 questions
8. Candidates that score above 80 will be rewarded with #200,000 naira and those that score 60-79 will be rewarded with #80,000 NOTE
1. Deadline for submission of essay is April 1st
2. April 3rd applicants eligible to take test will be notified.
3. Centres for CBT exam will be available across the 36 states of the nation.
4. Date of CBT exam is April 19th-21st

Lol... Bro this isn't news na. Anyone that has been following Nigerians music well knows Tekno wrote and produced that song. The truth though is... Davido killed it. As in, he killed in. Even tekno won't have killed it like that.

'IF' is a wack song.. when will Nigerians start embracing worthy songs.

The song 'if' had Tekno written all over it. However Davido owned it cos of his fat vocals delivery. I will give it to both of them. But credit needs to be given to the writer.
