mctowel01: Top eight richest people on the planet has the wealth of about 50% of the world population https://www.theguardian.com/global-development/2017/jan/16/worlds-eight-richest-people-have-same-wealth-as-poorest-50 Well, at the end of the day, it is all man for himself. If anyone who prides himself as a graduate but is not conscious about global trends, not smart to personally carve a niche for himself, not wise enough to see that the promise of journeymanship has failed, then he has himself to blame, not the government, not his parents, but himself. Unfortunately, most people are like this. |

pansophist:bro well said, frankly speaking, to add to your point, most people not only graduate overall mindset are way too poor. mindset in terms of confidence, self worth, financial knowledge. if one looks at our world today, there is so much a person can achieve with or without govt/white collar job. it is just that most people are myopic (reason inside the box). one economist defined economics as a science which studies human behaviour as a relationship between ends and scarce means which have alternative uses. this definition alone if pondered upon can spur an individual into action. it has also been said production is the creation of utility, the question is that are these graduates creating utility at the moment? there are levels of production viz primary (farming, raw materials), secondary (turning raw materials into finished goods e.g flour mills, FCMG, building construction industry and so on) and tertiary (supporters/complementers e.g banking, teaching, medical, insurance, transportation, ICT,graphic design, services generally...). haba with all these there is no how a graduate will not fit into at least one of the above. 1 Like |

VeeVeeMyLuv: I wholly agree with you. Rich people needs poor people to be rich. So let them stay mentally handicap, in as much as they have money to spare for business owners, the capitalist machine will thrive and perpetually be in a constant spin. I also think most people don't know the definition of wealth. I know a friend that have some few million and immediately, went straight up to buy a car. Not that they need a car, but the unnecessary need to prove status, to oppress others and feel better is so damaging to their own detriment. Money is a tool to create wealth, not wealth itself. Metaphorically, milk is the money while cow (that produce milk) is the wealth. Although most see a car (the milk) as wealth, instead of having a car company that actually produce the car. get it? The matrix is massively strong. 1 Like |
