IMO GUBER 2019:

IMO STATE CITIZENS CELEBRATES AS OKEY EZEH DECLARES INTEREST, VOWS TO SALVAGE THE STATE.

#He is our long awaited Messiah_____Imo State Pensioners

#In him and with him Civil service rule will be brought back to life and our salaries will be paid as at when due _____Imo State Civil Servants.

#Our Roads Will be Motorable Again _________ Imo State Taxi Drivers.

#He is a specialist in entrepreneurship, That means he will create Good Jobs for Imo Youths______ Imo State Youths.

#In him and with him I see a dream come true.I see an Owerri Zone Citizen in Douglas as a Governor ______Casmir Chigoziri.

Yesterday, the youthful entrepreneur, accomplished banker and First Class mass communicator, Mr. Okey Ezeh, met with the state working committee of APGA in Imo state led by Barrister Peter Ezeobi at the party's secretariat in Owerri to inform the party of his desire to heal the ailing economy of the state. Below are his remarks:
"My people, the time has come. The future is now. Today, we begin this historic movement, to rebuild our state – to make it great again. The dreams of our forebears have given way to cynicism, even despair. Every too often, we have settled for the less, tolerated the tyranny of those who abort our vision and abbreviate our dreams. Jobs have been lost; our schools have failed; businesses have shuttered; our lands yield no more; our industries are neglected; infrastructure has decayed; and there is a sapping of confidence amongst our people, a nagging fear that we are fated to our woes. But the time has come to pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off and begin to make the future we seek. No matter what we think of the past, we must never be prisoners to it. Together, we can make Imo great again.
APGA is like the proverbial phoenix; when people think APGA is dead that is when we show our greatest strength. I have come to thank the party for all you have done so far. APGA is the beautiful bride. Our party will grow from strength to strength. My abiding faithfulness to our great party has been peerless and will remain so. I have never known nor tested nor lusted after nor aspired to be anything in any other party. Whatever it will take us to win this race you can always count on me. We need to continue to show perseverance. We need to keep sacrificing for the party. We must show our strength in moments of adversity. I have come to seek the ticket of our great party to serve Ndi Imo as Governor. There will be no room for complacency. We must work together as one family. I have come to you as my fathers and mothers, as my brothers and sisters, and stretching out my hands of fellowship to you, I say: Let us rebuild Imo state together.
The Imo Marshal Plan (I-MAP), which is the economic map I have drawn for Imo’s social regeneration and economic resurgence, will address insecurity and curb crime by first intervening and eliminating those factors that hamper security and breed crime. It is a soft security initiative that doesn't view crime as a simple identity, a discreet element, rather a reality that stems from certain negative social conditions. When there is no unemployment and extreme poverty, the idea of theft would likely not arise. It is obviously cheaper to train people and employ them than to buy guns and build prisons. When people find a pathway out of poverty, they are not likely to resort to crime. To this end, the I-MAP intends to engage the private sector in the revitalization of all neglected industries in the state and in the establishment of new ones. 500, 000 hectares of land shall be put under cultivation which will be allocated to 100,000 farmers (trained as "agriprenuers"wink who shall employ 10 persons each. A sound agricultural policy and its implementation will make Imo self-sufficient in food production, generate employment and wealth, and earn the state foreign exchange. The agricultural policy of the Imo Marshal Plan (I-MAP) will create and expand job opportunities by intervening and facilitating job and wealth creation through the entire agricultural value chain. Production of the local raw materials for the industrial sector shall be pursued with the vigor and urgency that the task requires. Seed multiplication farms - livestock and fish breeding centers - will be established under Public Private Partnership (PPP) to facilitate access to high yielding and disease resistant inputs, livestock and fingerlings. Urban agriculture shall be an integral part of this policy to train service providers and utilize fallow land in urban areas. The major area for rural development would be to improve village-level infrastructure – by means of associated infrastructure investments - in terms of roads, potable water, education, health, supply chain, electricity, ICT, job creation, security in rural areas and linkage to agro markets. Improvement of the livelihoods of the host communities through access to micro-credit scheme and other Local Economic Development (LED) programs shall be effectuated; production of high-yielding crops, farm settlements and training institutes accomplished. Setting up of processing facilities, tractors, in-farm housing units in each of the three senatorial districts shall be realized. Creation of special unit for packaging for export in order to earn foreign exchange shall be achieved; building of new and revamping of abandoned farms and ranches carried out. We shall establish an integrated Rural Development Program designed to be complemented by auxiliary small-scale businesses with high job creation capacity. We shall provide agricultural extension services to farmers in the state. We shall set up by law an Agricultural Investment Promotion Agency that would serve as a link between the farmers and the market place to ensure regular flow of income through ready patronage and stabilization of commodity prices.
Changes will be made to the school curriculum so that between JSS1 and JSS3 every child will be made to select three different skills to learn from a wide range of skills. From SS1 to SS3, they will specialize in one of the skills. When that child is ready to graduate from secondary school, they would have garnered proficiency in a skill and be issued a Trade Diploma in one hand and a WAEC certificate in the other hand. The Diploma will serve as collateral for accessing soft loans to begin a vocation should that child choose not to attain a tertiary education. We have a great opportunity to make our education work again, and the time is now. Educational institutions in Imo state are currently in a shambles. Our schools churn out persons that cannot confidently face the dynamics of the economy of the new age. Even when they are hired, intensive capacity up-skilling is needed to make our university graduates perform. Erecting a number of unusable structures in primary schools doesn't translate into a comprehensive educational policy. It is a fact that stares us in the face that our children pass through the doors of 19th Century schools to meet the 21st Century economy. Most of the curricula are out of touch with the realities and demands of the modern market, and even the learning facilities are at best deplorable. Our children therefore graduate unemployable, and the few that can effectively participate cannot find a space for themselves in the already saturated labor market. Our educational sector needs a total overhaul. Skill acquisition should be fundamental in modern school curricula. My people, there is no time better than now, and no opportunity greater than this, to rebuild Imo state and make it a safe land for all. In this future we bring, crime shall be unthinkable.
To enable all citizens participate in the economic development of Imo State, we will make it an absolute priority to develop policies and encourage associated infrastructure investments via Private-Public Partnerships (PPPs) that would allow Imo State transform from a “civil service economy” to an “industrial economy”. We will embark on an Industrial Master planning exercise, highlighting the industrialization opportunities in each area in Imo State, and identifying the associated infrastructure required to realize all potentials. Upon completion of the Master Plan, opportunities in infrastructure development as well as manufacturing will be communicated to the national and international business community, in view towards mobilizing private sector investment. Each senatorial zone shall benefit from the establishment of a New Industrial Zone. We will also develop policies to reactivate high-potential industries that are currently comatose, namely Adapalm, Avutu Poultry, Inyishi Aluminum and Standard Shoe Industries and turn them into revenue-generating businesses through joint-venture participation from private sector investors. Investor participation will be maximized by positioning the State Government as a reliable and consistent player in Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs), and as a guarantor for long-term off-take agreements.
The comprehensive health policy of our Imo Marshal Plan, which must replace the improbable strategies and a confusion of agendas of the extant administration, will promote wellness, stop disease and restore hope. On health infrastructure, we plan to build a healthcare system that is second to none in Nigeria. A statistic of 21% maternal and infant mortality is unacceptable and must be reversed. We will build a well-equipped Primary Healthcare Center in every Ward across the state to bring healthcare to the doorsteps of our beautiful mothers, wives and daughters. It is estimated that two out of every twenty-five women die of breast cancer disease every year in Imo state. Creating awareness is vital, and catching it early makes it possible to get a cure. We must build cancer-screening centers in every market across the state for early detection. We must protect our women.
With all of us working together, on behalf of the future we seek, Imo shall surely be great again. Thank you so much, and may God bless Imo state."

I pity anyone who will take over from Rochas in Imo state in 2019 cos the backlog of debts(salaries, entitlements, contract payments, pensions, court claims, etc) he will be confronted with might not give the person the opportunity to work

The Lord once told me that anywhere you see region being supressed from ruling, thats where the messiah that will deliver the same people is. I wont go into the spiritual dimensions here but like in nigeria, watch the day a south easterner would preside over nigeria, it would mark the most prosperous stage of our nationhood.
