Bush man just want to show his people back home that he's in Germany. Happy market Riverdale is 10 times the size of this and they have everything even ogiri and Iru, owned by a Korean. The tiny igbo store selling only igbo food nearby hasn't been seen since. |

I live in Germany too. It is very expensive, plus a lot of tough laws to be able to open a store here. If it was so easy to open a business as it is in Nigeria where almost every street consists of a shop; I personally would have opened an African store. There a fewer stores here. To get African food I need to travel miles away. Or I send money home and they courier the food to me. The place we Nigerians see African food to buy is mostly from Asian shops. Africans sell too but they are very few and really rare to see even though we have so many Nigerians residing here. You have to factor in very high rentage, must pay high taxes to government and above all you must have a business licence which is very restrictive and difficult to get. IBO boys are not selling anything here o. Except to buy used things and to export to Naija, IBO's don't own shops here. See very small shaki/towel for 5.26€ that's about 2,400 naira. Our foods are very expensive here. 1 Like
