Loan Officer Job Responsibilities:
Develops loan applications by evaluating applicant information and documentation.
Loan Officer Job Duties:
1) Selecting the right candidates that are eligible for a loan
2) Increasing the credit business of the bank or institution that have hired them
3) Guiding the customer on the procurement of loan
4) If a customer is rejected for a certain amount, they can guide them what the right amount would be for them
5) Explaining the financial risks to all the customers
6) They should have good knowledge of the mortgage of the market
7) They have to do a thorough credit check on each customer before they approve them for loans
cool Design payment schedules for the customers
9) Keep proper records and look into customer complaints
10) Arrange for the customers to repay outstanding loans to the bank
11) Increasing the loan revenue of the bank and in return increase their own commissions
12) Evaluates loan applications and documentation by confirming credit worthiness.
13) Improves loan applications and documentation by informing applicant of additional requirements.
14) Rejects loans by explaining deficiencies to applicants.
15) Approves loans by preparing and forwarding applications to loan committee.
16) Completes loan contracts by explaining provisions to applicant; obtaining signatures and notarizations; collecting fees.
17) Helps customers by answering questions; responding to requests.
18) Maintains customer confidence by keeping loan information confidential.
19) Accomplishes the organization’s mission by completing related results as needed.

Qualifications: Minimum of a good first degree especially in any social science course.
