The Nigerian Senate has moved to investigate its President, Dr. Bukola Saraki over alleged car seized by Nigeria Customs Service and a prominent Senator, Dino Melaye over alleged certificate forgery.

This followed a point of order moved by Senator Ali Ndume representing Borno South on Tuesday at the plenary.

Senator Ndume said Nigerians are insulting the Senate over the two issues hence, SP Saraki and Dino Melaye should be investigated.

The Presiding Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu referred the two issues raised in Senator Ndume's point of order to Ethics and Privileges Committee to investigate and turn in a report to Senate in four weeks time.

Senate President Saraki, is not presiding today. He is at the Code of Conduct Tribunal for his ongoing case.

I suspect that Ali Ndume would be a pest on d testicle Saraki wud hate to av rubbished by removing him as senate leader.
Unlike Jibrin in d house,in Ndume,both Saraki and Melaye would find a formidable opponent they cant push aside,unlike what Dogara did to Jibrin,despite all his whistle blowing efforts.

Nothing will come out of it.

Waste of time and nothing else. Nothing good will come out of the investigation. If they want to prove to us that they are serious, Saraki should step aside as senate president and Dino should vacate his seat in the senate pending the conclusion of the investigation.
