How can you believe in salvation by faith alone when the only occurrence of 'faith alone' in the Bible (James 2:24) says that salvation is not by faith alone?

For a book of the Bible that has generated debates for centuries, short responses will just not cut it. However noting a few things can help clarify areas of fog.

The main purpose of James's message is this: knowing the word of God but failing to do what it says results in zero spiritual production as well as divine punishment from God.

James does not contradict Paul.

The 'faith' James talks about is 'what is belived' i. e. Biblical doctrine. It is not trust in Christ for salvation.

The word 'dead' and 'useless' are used interchangeably - see v. 20.

James' reference to Abraham's justification has to do with justification for rewards not for salvation.

James already told us that salvation is a grace gift - James 1:17-18.

What he goes on then to say is that positional justification by faith alone for salvation needs experiential justification by works for the believer to qualify for a reward.

YOU CAN LOSE YOUR SALVATION.

The Kingdom of God is The Ruling of God and Eternal Life is for The Expression of The Government of God by those who have 'E-Life' (...Thy Kingdom come, Thy Will be done on earth as it is in heaven.....).

Wherefore let him that thinks he stands take heed lest he fall - 1Cor.10:12

Afterward Jesus finds him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee - John 5:14

But if the wicked will turn from all his sins that he hath committed, and keep all my statutes, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live, he shall not die. All his transgressions that he hath committed, they shall not be mentioned unto him: in his righteousness that he hath done he shall live. Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith the Lord GOD: and not that he should return from his ways, and live? But when the righteous turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and doeth according to all the abominations that the wicked man doeth, shall he live? All his righteousness that he hath done shall not be mentioned: in his trespass that he hath trespassed, and in his sin that he hath sinned, in them shall he die - Ezekiel 18:21-24

Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven - Matt.7:21

Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ: - Ephesians 4:13-15

- Growth Is Required.

- Peace.

The Holy Spirit is not a Spirit of confusion.
Paul says that our Salvation is purely of Grace without works:very correct.
James also said that Faith without works is dead:also correct.
Paul dwells on the seed while James on the fruit produced by the seed.

James is clear nau, this is just saying salvation shouldn't be a lip service thing......Abraham loved God but still,he had to prove it,same applies to many others in the bible,3 Hebrew brothers,Daniel,David and so on....there's no contradiction, salvation is by faith and not by works,in that it isn't obtained through your own righteousness and also it is not faith alone,in that situations or circumstances or actions will at times prove that faith you have.

Salvation is a Hellenistic concept that the Romans assimilated into Christianity.

The concept of salvation came into prominance due to Soter also known as Ptolemy (I).

Soteriology is the doctrine or study of salvation.

All the Abrahamic religious text are fake, false and counterintuitive.
