I enjoyed Chris Rio vs Jdess, I appreciate singers who sing well without shouting. Same reason I enjoyed Bunmi/yimika.

I think Shapeera won Tecno own the stage singing show some years back.

The duo that did "more than words" were outstanding. Today's show was really interesting. I just wished Timi could pick 2 out if the three contestants that performed together.
Shapira has a strong voice. Thank God she was picked.
All in all, it was my time well spent.

the three-way battle seemed a bit chaotic to me

true that. we had a number of spectacular peformances last. cant say the same bout this week

The song choices were somehow.

Adam Lambert, Emeli Sandes songs. Waje makes things difficult with her song choices.

Well to me Amarachi sang better than Arewa. Arewa used maturity and heavy belting to deceive Waje, I even see Amarachi going farther than Arewa, so young, yet so talented.

Victor won among the trio hands down, the sisters only sing good together, they don't seem to be strong individually. Victor was king of that jungle.

Voke won clearly, even though he's not at all a credible contender, he just competed with a very lazy lady. Maybe his height distracted me from listening to his voice.

Chris Rio is an enigma, he was rightly chosen, was also glad j'dess was saved.

For those who can't watch today, do check YouTube by midnight tomorrow. Highlight will be shown but nothing beats the full show.

I am beginning to love music. God bless

I think Arewa did a better job. Age or not, her voice has more dexterity than the younger girl. She is able to sing deep and stretch her voice more. It's not her fault that maturity helped her.

None of the battles wowed me.
Good classical girl went . She admitted herself she didn't know how a classical singer can get into regular songs.

It will only get tougher for her.
She will find it difficult to fit into other genres

I dey tell u. She would have become extremely boring to listen to. Good she left. They should begin talent hunts for classical music. Also most singers should work hard to be versatile.

Arewa's lower register is badass! I don't think anybody does that better than her on the show. And Arewa can comfortably sing like how the girl did, but the girl can't do what Arewa did.

You are right on the lower register. It was lower register that helped Arese win her battle last season. I wish them all the best.

She doesn't need to fit into other genres. It's the Lives and anything can happen, she just needs to find good song choices that she can deliver extremely well and one that would appeal to her audience.

Chike did the "fit into another genre" last season and he made an awful mess of the song he delivered. She doesn't have to fit in, she just have to be extremely smart.

Concerning Sandra the classical girl, she hasn't trained well enough and like I said earlier, she is just an average classical singer. A classical singer should be able to amplify louder than normal singers. I think in the Voice US season 2, there was a classical singer, he sang with Christiana Aguilera and he matched her voice for voice.
Maybe she is a self trained classical singer. Even those sister's voices were louder.

I can't agree less. Hitting lower register means what. It's just like calling Afolayan best singer because he was singing on a baritone in the previous week's performance. I don't buy DAT one. A Arewa is good no doubt but the smaller girl has an impeccable tone, her ad-libs where sonorous and she wasn't shouting imho. It's quite arguable though.

She dint make it to the lives.
She already said it was going to be hard for her.
And yes it was. And the fact that they were 3 dint make it any better for her.

I'm talking about the battle round between Arese and Fluorish. When Waje selected her over Fluorish she said something about her lower register being great,as many people were asking why.

I wonder what Broda Timi was thinking when he paired 3(4) people.

Even on Britain's got talent, there have been some opera singers and they did quite well.
I think even when Djinee sings you can tell he has some form of classical training.and he was able to adapt to an extent.
