President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua who has spent one month at the King Faisal Hospital and Research Center, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia is still on life support and being fed intravenously, highly placed sources at the hospital told Pointblanknews.com. This revelation confirmed earlier report by Pointblanknews.com that President Yar’Adua’s health conditions have not improved as being speculated within government circles, dashing hopes and putting pressure on the country to end the waiting game. Very credible source informed Pointblanknews.com that there is no truth in the speculations that the ailing President is responding to treatment insisting that President Yar’Adua could be talk, eat or even move his body. “All those talk that the president is responding to treatment is political. Even those who came here even without seeing him know that his condition is not that good, we are just hoping and praying,” the source who is not authorized to speak told Pointblanknews.com. The source added that at the moment the Saudi doctors and others specialists brought in from Germany and the United States have basically done all they could and are just hoping that with time the President would begin to respond to all the treatments administered so far. According to the source, “the doctors have been working day and night and they are just hoping that with time, the President would get better.” Another source at the King Faisal Hospital told pointblanknews.com that President Yar’Adua’s current situation could be as a result of what it termed “hypotension,” a situation caused by the several medication that have been administered on the ailing President. According to the source who is a medical staff at the Saudi hospital “Hypotension is the opposite of hypertension and in this case, it is the shortage of blood or what you can best describe as low blood pressure. So we are dealing with that with hope that we can stabilize him.” The medical staff also hinted that last weekend the President’s health situation caused fears amongst medical team attending to him as he was not responding. He was said to have been placed on an advanced life support. “His condition has not generally improved since weekend but he is getting the best medical attention to keep him up,” the source hinted. |

Truly worrisome. The old man knows which is of more value to him - between life and position. |
