The owner of space X, Elon Musk started up a new company not too long ago and he calls this one Neuralink, their focus is on improving the brains capabilities through technological augmentations. He says he fears AI (Artificial Intelligence) would surpass the human brain, so he is working on this so the human brain can interact with a computer even faster without having to make use of the keyboard, mouse or track pad but rather through a "neural lace". This he said last year at Code Conference ahead of starting up his Neuralink company.
So far that have had breakthroughs and have discovered it would also have some medical benefits.
