What you have in marriages are two different personalities, from two different backgrounds, coming together to live as one. They never fully understand each other, so misunderstandings are bound to ensure.

Misunderstanding and argument will always stem up from little and insignificant things. It takes a level of understanding to appreciate that both partners have different personality traits

Even if they are twins and understands each other, they must have misunderstanding.
Any marriage without misunderstandings, and some kinds of arguments, will be completely boring.

In marriage, you disagree to agree.

False!, even when they have sense, misunderstandings are bound to take place 'cause most are not in one's powers.

I wouldn't say misunderstandings arises in marriages as a result of different personalities from different backgrounds. This is because talking of understanding, there're times you'll find out that you don't even understand your own self, as you do things that ordinarily shouldn't have been done by you.

So then, misunderstandings transcends mutuality and even same traits as you. It is more of the human nature. A nature, except conquered, will always breed quarrels and useless wranglings.

You have a point too, and that's, you think it's human nature. Which is part of it.

When I made reference to "Different personalities", this for example. Your spouse has his/her likes, dislikes, different ideas to things, different things irritates and pleases him/her, and in the course of your marriage you never get these things under control, which is bound to breed misunderstandings.

I hear you loud and clear.

Now talking of different personalities, there's what is known as “courtship.” It is a time originally designed to help would-be partners in understanding all the differences there is that exist between them, and how to better manage these differences. It is, in a sense, a degree course that qualifies one to move into marriage.

It is when this most important period is disregarded or not understood—failed, that one experience the bulk of the problems in marital homes. Also, lacking an equally vital knowledge that two people in marriage are no longer regarded as two in the real sense of it, but ONE, is also one major causes of disharmony in marital homes.
