samsung today released the eight phone in its S series of phones.
The samsung galaxy s8 has been tagged samsung's glory phone. The samsung galaxy s8 is a smartphone that must succeed it cannot fail, at least that's what samung hopes for. Samsung's fame and reputation lies in the hand of the s8. After a very disastrous Note 7, samsung hopes to make a huge come back and gain people's trust again with the s8 while we await the arrival of the note 8.
Among measures taking to make sure the s8 doesn't end up exploding like the note 7 , samsung organized an 8 point battery check for the s8.
Securing a safer battery for the S8 isn't the only new feature samsung new flagship possesses, it packed with some other goddies too. Below is a quick scan of the features on the S8 ;

DESIGN

The S8 features a slightly new design that shows great difference when compared to it's predecessors in the S series. Off course it still bears it's edge design, what's new here is the fact that the S8 bears a near bezeless design with a screen to body ratio of 18.5:9. The S8 is 5.8 inch in size with a screen resolution of 2960 X 1440 accompanied by a desnsity of 570 PPI , while the s8 plus is a 6.2 inch device with a screen resolution of 2960 X 1440 with density of 529 PPI. The S8 still retains samsung's flagship glass metal finish combo design we saw in it's Note 7. The S8 has all it's edges round. In a way this phone feels like the LG G6 when held. Something here to note is that instead of a wider screen the S8 has a longer screen with the S8 plus being much more longer.
Above it's display you have it's front facing camera and an iris scanner without Samsung's traditional logo wasn't placed here.

On the bottom there is no home key at all, samsung employed an on screen navbar which is fully customizable and it is also pressure sensitive with an haptic feedback.
Moving on to the back of this device you will find a setup very similar to the one's featured on the note 7 and S7. The only disparity here is the finger print which has been placed in an uncomfortable position beside it's bump less camera.
You might not feel the change much on the S8 but using the finger print reader on the S8 plus might just be an herculean task for you.
With the new position of the finger print reader, users may employ the use of it's iris scanner or face recognition located up front instead.
On top of the frame on this device you have it's hybrid sim tray in which you could use either a micro sim and a micro SD card or a micro sim and a nano sim together with a microphone port.
On the bottom you have a USB-TYPE-C port , a single speaker grill and a microphone port.
On the right side of the frame you have its volume keys and a dedicated Bixby assistant button. This is the first phone in samsung's S series to feature the Bixby assistant.
Finally on the right you have it's power button which is a shortcut to activate the camera.
The S8 is also completely water and dust proof with an IP68 rating.
The S8 comes in Midnight , Gray , silver , maple Gold and coral blue.

Now let's discuss hardware. Samsung did not actually do much here.
The S8 is powered by 4GB LPDDR4 ram, samsung 10 nanometer snapdragon 835 processor , a standard 64GB UFS 2.1 storage. These components are powered by a 3200Mah battery on the S8 and a 3500MAH battery on the S8 plus.
This device features a USB-TYPE-C charging port with fast charge 2.0 on USB and on wireless charge.

The camera setup on this device includes an 8MP front shooter which features a wide angle lens , auto focus and phase detection with an aparture of F1.7.
On the rear we have a 12MP shooter which uses the same camera sensor on the Note 7. It's rear camera features an improvement on its software and boasts of crisp low light shots. The rear camera also features dual pixel autofocus. When you take a photo with this camera the phone actually takes three photos and automatically selects the best one from the three. Also this camera features an aparture of F1.7
