It's funny how majority of those laughing out of this situation commit the same blunder everyday, there's nothing like am, it's I am or I'm

Go ahead and go through my posts you may find spelling errors but not am

You are also wrong to have said that the bone of contention is punctuational instead of structural.

The difference between "I am" and "am" lies in theit structure and not punctuation, since "I" is completely omitted in the latter.

Structural, agreed, but he also goofed on same Uses of English.

Finally, the last line of the post you just quoted says nobody is perfect when it comes to the Uses of English and this is where the handler is getting it wrong.

Note, this is not in any way in support of graduates who can't piece up few words to make simple correct sentences cos you may use this post against me in future.

Chaiiiiii EFCC just gave that guy a finishing. But Walt first when did EFCC start this grammatical tenses faulting
Now I am beginning to sense condescension in the efcc tone. We know say e go school but he should learn to be polite in some of these responses. I also suspect he has no job on his desk. Not funny anymore. When was d last time they released meaningful news? Even Magu no know how much they have recovered.

While not holding brief for Chon-Bale, I think the handler goofed as well especially his punctuation since his grouse on the tweet borders on punctuation. The last statement requires a full or partial termination after "Am" (a full stop or a comma) b4 the question "Okay?".

Even AS Hornby, the principal author of The Oxford Advanced Learners' Dictionary has handful of shortcomings in English, so nobody is perfect, especially in English language.

Even the "young" should've been "youngs" since he used "theirs".
I think in our use of English, we should desist from such usage like the twitter handler's.

You are FATALLY WRONG! There is actually something like "am" but the problem here lies in its usage. People tend to think it means the same thing as "I'm" which, of course, is wrong.

Good one, opportunity for others to adjust that once and for all. Kukuma write I am instead of shortening to I'm and writing Am...whew!

Make this EFCC guy chill nah.

If he is that good in English he should go and educate our corrupt politicians like Dino, saraki and co on how not to be corrupt, even though stealing is not corruption anymore in Nigeria.

Yes chief. I laugh when people believe all these questions are real.

Is this how regular Nigerians reach out to Government parastatals on Twitter?

If YES, then PHCN/NEPA would have been getting millions of comments daily in those days .

Africans!!. It's time to get out of the box. We did not opt to speaking English, rather, English is a language forced down the throats of our ancestors during colonialism. We have over 2,000 languages languishing in obscurity in Africa, some threatened with extinction, because we're busy fooling around learning someone else's language.

Yet, some of you ask; what were our ancestors doing to have been enslaved for too long? Well, what they were doing is the same thing you're doing today. They got used to obeying white people so much that they despised anything African, including our languages, just like you. So, you're really no different than a slave!!.

Europe doesn't have more than 50 languages, yet we throw away our 2,000 languages following a continent that have less. What a shame!

Moreover, twitter is not an English classroom.

Asians (except Philippines) has long dropped this mentality and has placed more attention on their native languages in schools and society. The result is feeling of self-worth, confidence, development.

I actually agree with you, Sir....but you are not typing in a native language, are you? grin

I personally would make sure my kids speak our indigenous language ONLY at home. They can speak all the English they want outside.

I remember Obasanjo talking about how we actively discard our culture in favour of alien/ foreign cultures.
