My guy

I said may be.

MAY BE

so note that

Now even if it was the Pastor that engineered it.
Tell me where he is wrong.

Someone said you did what u are dead sure you didnt do, You didnt send thugs to deal with her, you did not go to her to slap her,

But You handed her over to the law agents which is what the law of the Land supports.
Where has the Pastor gone wrong.

Does he run the affairs of the Police?

Does he run the prison affairs ?

Let all complaints about her arrest be directed to the Law agents not the pastor.

Many of you guys are hypocrites
If you were in the shoes of the Pastor yould do worst.

Someone said you stole his phone when you can't remember wen u stole last.
All Hell will loose.

Let us all be truthful and Frank

I guess you don't understand how the police, court, prison or law works.

The Pastor complained, hence he was arrested, charged and in jail at the moment awaiting trials.

When the trial commences, the Pastor will be called to testify in other to enter into evidence, the exhibits against her. Without the Pastor's testimony at the trial phase, all those blog posts cannot be entered into evidence. It means, if the Pastor failed to testify, she will go free at trial as she will not be found guilty.

Even now, if the Pastor withdraw his complains, she will be set free.

So, let's not minimize the continual role of the Pastor in this case, they are front and center on this case and without their continual support and interest, the case will fall apart.

I know the moment they past that stupid law, it is a medium for the rich and influential to increase their oppression on poor masses. They can arrest Kemi for publication of defamatory matters but no one is carrying out investigation to know if the pastor in question was actually corrupt and infidel

What a ridiculous bail conditions. 2 civil servants that reside in Port Harcourt as sureties. What a stupid condition. No wonder she couldn't meet bail.

Of course the charges against Walson will be dropped because this from start is a move against Kemi by an influential pastor that has sheep in the government

Kemi wasn't held extra-judiciously but they can put her in prison for defamation of one pastor character without investigation to find out if what she said is true or not. They can make her wear prison uniform without respecting her fundamental human right for freedom of speech. The whole episode is a shame on Nigeria and rivers state judicial system

Conclusion: The antecedent being set by this case is worrisome because the only tool the poor has to voice their opinion on what the powerful and influential people are doing wrong is being strangled, this implies that these oppressors can do whatever they like because if you say anything against them, it will be defamation of character.
Bro forget all these ur long grammer..that woman deserves to wrath in jail..she has done enough damage to peoples images..just to gain popularity ..she is a witch..if u were d pastor with a large ministry and som1 like this makes such negative accusations at you
.would you be happy and keep quiet?? D time has come for Christians to wake up and take actions at times..we can't continue to leave everytin for God ..she has done enuf and she needs to be taught a lesson. Do you know the kind of damage such accusations can do to a pastors ministry..somtin they have suffered to build for so many years and one foolish woman from nowhere will just wake up to and speak rubbish and u expect them to keep quiet?? Abeg forget all this talk jare I love what the pastor did..and I pray she stays in jail for long

A civil case (defamation of character and libel) is not supposed to be turned into a criminal case... this is different from Audu Makori's tweets which could have caused breach of peace in Kaduna state.

Don't worry, my message is not for you. You probably haven't experienced freedom of expression in your life. You probably think it is right for a military officer to slap you on the road for no reason. You probably believe a rape victim deserve being raped because she dressed indecently, and you probably also believe that no one should say something bad about a pastor even if we are not sure if he is guilty or not. So you can do me a big favour by ignoring my post

Kemi should learn from this.

It is Ok for pastor to take the case to court to clear his name ......have they actually requested evidence from Kemi regarding the case .. yes or no??

Her crime is a bailable one ......when people steal billions of dollars and import ammunition into the country ... they are granted bail,,, ..

the woman was granted bail... who is and why are they detaining her.....

Dino versus Sahara reporters
Dino is suing them for defamation of character too but
Sahara reporters are still roaming the street ..... They have not been sent to prison na,

Our judicial system is something else when money bags or those who knows people in government are involved.

the paramount question is, what if she is saying the truth. lets be realistic, there are a thousand things that cant be proved. the fact that it cant be proved dosnt meant it shouldnt be said
if you can't prove an accusation, how can a third party know u are saying the truth?as a journalist, she should know that.

So many daft folks yarning nonsense.

That idiot called Kemi that have been running her mouth publishing fake stuff to defame people character must be sentenced to at least 2 yrs as prescribed by the law. Pst David Ibiyomie must not withdraw this case.

SECONDED. This crackpot called a Kemi should face the music she composed. Life imprisonment is even too kind for her.

Let's put things in perspective

In my own opinion, I don't think she should still be in detention, not because the Law wasn't followed, but because it's a pastor involved, he should try and temper justice with mercy. But I think she deserves to be punished... She desperately need someone to stop her. You guys should stop all these freedom of expression nonsense, people can't just open their mouth and destroy others because they want to either be famous or make money from other people's misfortunes. Freedoms of speech should be that you're spreading True_speech, if it's false speech, there should be a kind of punishment if this society will remain sane. People are crazy here, someone will just wake up in the morning, eat hot eba and that conjuring trash on people...it need to be stopped, because many people don't take advantage of the law against it doesn't mean it should continue... Even in saner clime that we're copying the freedom of speech from takes defamation serious. Some people say a speech is an armless expression. Do you know what they call a good-name? The Holy book says it's more precious than gold and silver. Someone will just destroy that, that you've built over the years in a single day.

It's simple, if you're coming out with any information, be ready to prove it beyond any reasonable doubt, if not, be ready to go take watery beans for a while.

Smart response.

At least one person could see through the BS specious argument that some of these EXTREMELY dishonest Christians employ to convince the gullible and proliferate their hatred for those who speak against their precious pastors.

The entire argument rests on the premise that the Cybercrime/stalking Act is a just and fair law. But everyone knows it's nothing but a tool by the elite to keep the media and people in check. A tool that turns a civil suit into a criminal case, giving them the power to make arrests and imprison people before conviction.

And we all know how long it takes to make a judgement in Naija (the judge has already been unavailable once in this case), not to talk of getting a fair trial when one is up against the rich and powerful.

In truth, the people in support of the pastor aren't interested in justice but in seeing that the woman suffers for saying crap about their precious pastor. It's why they would re-tweet hashtags to free some journalist who is a victim of the cyberstalking act but behave differently in Kemi's case.

There's nothing wrong with the pastor filing a case against her. But, in a sane society, it would be a civil suit and she would be given a fair trial.

Soon, we'll also have anti-blasphemy laws disguised as cyber-bullshit act.

shut up. Trying to bring "pastor" to exonerate her is not wise.

Forget the fact that the man is a pastor and imagine it's your father in that shoes. What will you say? Will you still take this position?

Remember ALUU4 Were accused wrongly? Be careful, you might be the next victim and pray yours do not become so extreme as ALUU4 and I am sure that one of the ALUU4 must have felt every body condemned deserve it because they are criminals, not knowing that they will fall victim too.

It's the same spirit that is in you. Like father like son. Sons of Satan. Why can't you live like Jesus. The woman abused various politians; OBJ and others. None of those ppl arrested her. Imagine a pastor that can't look away. Showing his anger on a woman. The pastor is a son of the devil. Most of u have been brainwashed. They are end time preachers. God will expose them all. Sensible ppl will support the woman. She's just talking leaving her. We won't tolerate fake pastors to deceive ppl in this land.
