Never cut off anyone from your life or burn the bridges of friendship even if they have done You wrong in the past. A guy who stole my money amounting to 700k,after some years helped me to get a high paying job in an international oil and gas company. Another friend who I borrowed some money and refused to pay, he later helped in linking me up with a good business deal. So in life you learn from past mistakes but still maintain contact. KanwuliaExtra: 10 years on NL as well. Its been an amazing journey. Life has taught me to: 1. Focus on myself and not get carried away by others successes. Eccl. 3 tells us there there will be varying times and seasons in life. 2. Learn to persevere. You don't want to get older and be filled with regrets as to how a little perseverance would have changed the future. 3. Invest in myself. It's good to chase money but not at the expense of your passion. 4. Learn from elderly people. Good for me that I work with people much older than I am. They share their life experiences and this influences my life decisions to a major extent. 5. Not be afraid to fail. Failure is simply a way not to do something. It builds your character going forward. 6. Manage time: we can't predict our lifespan, the more time we spend doing things not in alignment with our dreams and goals, kills our time, which in turn takes away a valuable part of our lifespan that we can't recover. Having that sense of urgency about life would only help manage time properly. 7. Always trust in God even in my faithlessness and sinfulness. 2 Likes |
