Manchester United and England Legend, Gary Neville has made a bold claim on the rivalry between two London heavyweights, Arsenal and Chelsea. The former Manchester United defender, said on sky sports after Arsenal's 2-2 draw with Manchester city, that Arsenal are a much bigger and better club than Chelsea.


The 42-year-old Neville, made the claim despite Arsenal enduring arguably their most disappointing season under the tutelage of Arsene Wenger, which has irked the anger of their supporters. While Chelsea on the other hand are chasing a second league title in 3 seasons.


“This is a better club than Chelsea,” Gary Neville said on Sky Sports after Sunday’s draw with Manchester City.
“Why wouldn’t players come and play here? Look at this stadium, it’s unbelievable.
“Chelsea are a fantastic club but you’ve got to say, even Chelsea fans wouldn’t argue that Arsenal are a bigger club than them.
“Arsenal are a bigger club than Chelsea. They are, it’s a fact.

“That’s not a criticism of Chelsea. Chelsea are a club that’s really only grown in the last 10 or 15 years. They’ve done brilliantly well.
“But they’re not as big a club as Arsenal.”
Neville was one of the analysts of the match between Arsenal and Manchester City at the Emirates on Sunday.

I think Neville is high on something, bigger team with only one European competition trophy in their entire history. His prerequisite for big team might be only English football though and that make Liverpool a small team too
