About one week passed since Samsung announced its latest flagship smartphones, the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ during the Unpacked event in New York. While the two phones feature 4GB of RAM, rumors say that a 6GB variant could be made available in China soon.

The latest report from ETNews sheds some light on a Galaxy S8+ variant with 6GB of RAM that will be introduced in China soon. The smartphone will have a price tag of about $1,030 and only the Midnight Black variant will be made available to customers.

In addition, Samsung intends to offer a free DeX Station together with pre-orders of the new Galaxy S8+ variant. The DeX Station usually costs around $150. The premium Galaxy S8+ variant will most likely have the same specs as the previously announced model, but internal storage might be increased to 128GB, thus justifying the price tag that slightly surpasses $1,000.

The Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ will hit shelves on April 21
The Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage are already available for pre-order in a number of countries, while the phones are set to release on April 21. Customers who pre-ordered the two devices in Canada are expected to receive them a few days earlier, on April 17.

The Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ have roughly the same specs, except for their display sizes and battery capacity. The standard model has a 5.8-inch Super AMOLED screen and 3,000mAh battery, while the larger variant has a 6.2-inch Infinity Display and draws power from a 3,500mAh battery. Speaking of the front panel, this year’s flagship lacks a physical home button, marking a major design change in the Galaxy S lineup.

Inside, they run on the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 platform and they're the first smartphones to come with Bluetooth 5.0. The Galaxy S8 and S8+ both have 12MP single-lens cameras on the back, although Samsung did explore the idea of a dual-camera setup on the back of the S8+, as recent prototype images showed. Perhaps, we’ll see such a design on the upcoming Galaxy Note 8.http://eisteve..com.ng/2017/04/lets-talk-about-why-samsung-galaxy-s8.html
