Football is one hell of a funny. The way some footballers become almost worthless is strange. Imagine someone like Yakubu that you'd expect that those relegation and second division teams will atleast look his way is having his contract terminated by coventry. The worst is even Osazie Odewinge that didn't see anywhere to go but Indonesia. Na wa.

What were they thinking when they were signing the contract. I dey suspect that guy ooo, e be like him get him own babalawo for house wey dey manipulate people. He overstayed in everton playing nothing yet they feature him. Nigeria strike nothing yet every year he is called, now conventory

Former Super Eagles striker, Yakubu Aiyegbeni who had initially joined CCFC on a deal few months ago, has had his contract mutually terminated with immediate effect.

English League One strugglers, Coventry City FC have cancelled the contract of 34-year-old former Super Eagles striker, Yakubu Aiyegbeni.

The football club announced the termination of the former Everton striker on their official website on Wednesday.

“The club can announce that former Everton striker Yakubu has had his contract mutually terminated, with immediate effect.

“Yakubu made three appearances for the Sky Blues, before suffering a hamstring injury against Swindon Town. The club would like to wish Yakubu all the best for the future,” ccfc.co.uk stated.

Yakubu, 34 errr typo error 64yrs, had signed for Coventry in February on a season-long contract.

Coventry won the EFL Trophy on Sunday, but they are at the bottom of the League One table and are bound for League Two next season.

Yak was one of the best African players in the Epl. Infact he should be among the top 5 greastest African players in the Epl.

Imagine collecting thousands of pounds every week from Coventry and see what he is doing on the pitch. If this isn't fraud, I do not know what else to call it.
