Following the freezing of the account of former first lady of Nigeria Patient Jonathan on the 16th September 2016 by the Economic and financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), the Federal High court sitting in Lagos has ordered EFCC to unfreeze the former first lady bank account.
According to the former first lady before she filed a case against EFFC to unfreeze her bank account containing $5 million, she said the money in the account were gifts from friends and associate and were legally acquired.

Likewise participated in the suit were Skye Bank Plc and a previous Special Assistant to ex-President Jonathan, Waripama-Owei Dudafa.

Others incorporate Pluto Property and Investment Company Ltd, Seagate Property Development and Investment Company Ltd, Transocean Property and Investment Company Ltd and Globus Integrarted Service Ltd.
