Akpevwe9:DSTV must adopt best practices in it's business dealing with Nigerians. Yearly increase of subscription rates on it's various bouquet is not acceptable. Government should protect the citizens from exploitation by multinational companies operating in the country. 1 Like |

The next one is for Cinemas. If you buy ticket to watch movie and you leave midway, you will collect half of the money. After that, Stadiums too e.g. If your team is losing 4-0 after 60 minutes you can get a third of your money as refund if you decide to leave. 1 Like |

KAYD007:You are missing the point . They supply a 30 days service .which you pay for . If you do not have electricity to watch how in God's name is that thier prone? If you TV and box was enabled or powered bt solar panels would you have any qualms ? So as u can see the only reason U watch 10 days out of 30 is cos your leaders failed you in the power supply sector . 1 Like |

castrokins:That is if it goes through. Remember that this is not the first time the issue of Pay As You Go for cable tv has been mentioned in this same House. It was not even debated before being discarded. So, do not get your hopes high yet until it materialises. Nigerian legislators have a way of frustrating Bills or Resolutions that will benefit majority of Nigerians once they are settled. |

This is nonsense. These guys should break the monopoly. Strengthen star times by opening/breaking the sports package. In the UK, football and other sports packages are split between Sky, BT and sometimes ITV. This way, no one entity will laud it over the other 1 Like 1 Share |

This is a welcomed development! For once, our lawmakers are proving their mettle This present payment method favours only the PayTv company as it doesnt matter whether people watch their TV or not, every 30days they will be compelled to subscribe afresh. People should pay for what they watch/use. That is how it is done even in South Africa, the country of origin of DSTV However, if this succeed, our regulatory bodies must prevail on PayTv companies to fix a reasonable rate per hour. Otherwise, we will find ourselves be shortchanged even more than now. #PayAsYouWatch |

Friends in the UK and other places wonder how we are able to watch everything in Nigeria with just 1 monthly pay....EPL, Champions League, La Liga, CNN, Sky News, etc etc. Those guys are probably making the move because ds has refused to 'play ball' I really dont trust those guys. |

henrydadon: I will not blame multi choice for price review, think of the following 1,over the years has the government being able to provide steady and constant power ? 2, I believe you are aware they also have base stations for signals to various subscribers decoders have you thought of the cost of running them, The government is not helping issues, provide the enabling environment and see whether price will not come down 1 Like 1 Share |

erico2k2: Yes it's their fault! But it's never the fault of mTn and others when they migrate to per seconds billing if you were born then and of rightful age. Reasons! Acceptable international practice As it's obtainable by international practice, so it should be in this part of country. |
