Hundreds of indigenes are currently protesting at the Enugu State House of Assembly clamouring for the total eviction of the Enugu Electricity Distribution Company, EEDC.

They cited outrageous billing, epileptic power supply, among others as part of the strong reasons

At the time of this post, the protesters have taken over the Assembly complex,expressing sternly that they would no longer tolerate the ills of the EEDC and asking the Federal Government to review privatization ‎of the EEDC as it lacked the capacity to manage the distribution.

I cuncur! EEDC is just out to make money, GEJ sold it off to an incompetent slowpoke who sees it as part of his own National cake. What they do is bill and bill and bill and bill you more.

You are speaking from a position of ignorance. What EEDC does is to reject power sent to it for distribution. Then they send estimated bills to their clients. They don't want to spend money paying for power sent to them, so they pay little, get little power and distribute as long as they make their own money through estimated billing system which is prevalent in the South East.

Geomet is in charge of power generation in the east and it is doing a wonderful work in generation, its the EEDC that is the devil.

EEDC is in primary school jare.

BEDC will supply power once in a month and bring you 10k bill.

If you protest or don't pay, they will disconnect the whole community for 3 years.
