Seun, have you thought of enabling or incorporating PMs, assuming the feature is present in your forum software, for each user? I ask because it will go a very long way in fostering a better experience for your users here on Nairaland. I’m sure there are quite a number of people that wants to communicate something private to another user but would rather not publically disclose their email address or phone number. As this is a public forum, I like to keep my identity anonymous.

Here’s my veiled attempt at a business case for taking on the extra cost. Allowing people to send messages to users’ PMs ensures that they log on to your site to communicate which generates more traffic – more traffic equals more revenue cheesy

What do you think fellow Nairalanders?

EDIT: It looks like the feature existed sometime ago.

Seun doesn't want it.

People have asked, begged, requested, implied, pleaded, hinted, I'm going round in circles.

I don't think it's going to get enabled anytime really. I think NOT having a PM option is a form of censoring and moderation, I think Seun wants an 'innocent' name for Nairaland, and maybe having people talk about God knows what in their PM diverges from that.

Nonetheless, I've been itching for PM, but now I'm so sure it won't happen.

Guess, if you like PM, you could find it on another site maybe? undecided
