Boss Gazzuzz good day.
I bought a 2005 corolla in april.
It has been working fine until it brought up the check engine light last week. I scanned it and it brought out the P2716 code. Abeg what should i do?
I have cleared the fault but it keeps on coming up with hard gear change.

Tricky code. Usually present when there has been a transmission change.

I have got a Honda Civic 01.
Engine stalls after driving for 5-10 mins. it starts up immediately again and will go for another 5 mins then dies again.
The cycle continues through out the time of driving as long as I have a good battery to keep starting the car
What I have noticed;
1. Engine loose power when it's about to stall.
2. I always smell the engine is hot and also feel heat right from inside the car especially around my legs.
3. Engine temperature mark don't go above average.
4. No overheating but engine is always very hot.
What I have done so far;
1. I have changed my radiator
2. Changed injectors
3. Checked fuel pump pressure which seems fine.

By hard gear change, I mean that the car jerks noticeably on shifting gear to reverse and jerks on motion during gear change.
The transmission shifts gears normally tough.
I doubt transmission has been replaced. I bought car as tokunbo in april.
Is it a very serious fault that will require parking the car till it is resolved?
I'm in Ibadan Boss. Can you refer me to anyone here?

Replace crankshaft position sensor .

I also experienced this with my Rav4 04. I changed the 4 plugs and the sensor after scanning. It is fine now.

No repairs like that, just normal servicing is what is done on the Jeep. In fact the fan belt that came with the car since 2015 is still the one that is there now.

Your engine. Might have developed sludge. This is causing the variable valve timing system to malfunction.

Please my Honda civic 2001 model water pump was licking so I asked kazeem fix it. On coupling it back, car loses power immediately it start.

2 possibilities.

1 you didn't catch it on time and head gasket is damaged.

2. Keep cranking it will start .

Hello Gazzuz.
I recently got a 2005 corrolla, Nigerian used. I recently had the AC repaired it work fine so far but I noticed that the temperature goes above the middle point almost quarter anytime the the AC is on a very long drive. This scares me that the car might overheat so I switch off the AC intermittently. Is this normal or sud I be worried?
Secondly I remember the AC technician saying I sud put a manual thermostat for the AC so it can regulate itself from time to time because according to him it seem the built in thermostat system is not working. Is it advisable to put a manual thermostat?.

I removed the connector, cleaned and fixed it back. The fans now comes on normally.

Pair of used bank 1 and 2 catalytic converters are 180,000.


The oil level switch is damaged or not present.

It could signify a possibly replaced engine.

In the regular 2gr-Fe engine on most Toyota vehicles , there is no switch present.

In most Lexus vehicles , the switch is there.

My recommendation, based on the pictures I will post understand what is going on.

First pic is a 2gr-fr without an oil level switch. The next pic is for a Lexus with an oil level switch .
